KFC 124 street
Closed for business at 9:14 pm Monday. Fast food is suppose to be fast. I pulled up at exactly at that time, to this location and ordered a “original 10 piece bucket of chicken family meal”, I was told they have “...no chicken ready, and it would take 20 minutes”. I reiterated my order again, and asked what time you do you close? She remarked that chicken takes 20 minutes. I asked her for the last time if they had any chicken at all? She said they have no chicken ready but I could have a chicken sandwich in 7 minutes instead!
I drove to this location as the teenage boys wanted KFC at 9 o’clock in the evening, and if your website says your open till 10 pm, then one would presumably acknowledge that 45 minutes before closing, you’d have some food - fried chicken, hence the name Kentucky Fried “Chicken”,ready for sale, and being “fast food” it would be somewhat, fast.
It wasn’t the case! I left, and quickly looked up on the mobile “Chicken fast food” and sure-shoot’in... google gave me a plethora to choose from. In seconds, I choose “ Popeyes Louisiana kitchen”; found a location 18 minutes away. Yes, I drove there but not before calling them to insure there actually “open till 10 pm”, with chicken ready. The lady said “yes sir we have chicken ready”.
Upon arriving at Popeyes on 137 avenue, I had a quick glance as I drove by this location to insure they are actually “open”, and sure enough, people and activity from the store front drive-by. I dashed in, purchased 12 piece family meal, and they even gave me a couple apple turnovers as I told them how upset I was at KFC for lying that they’re open till 10 pm, when in actuality they closed for business at 9:14 pm.
I wonder, for the franchise owner of KFC 124st & 111 Ave nw, if he/she has ever done a spot check to see if the business is truly open or closed at that time and if employees are just pre-closing and not taking orders so they don’t have to stay past 10 pm?
By the way, not that competition matters, there is a Churches Chicken, opening down the street at Westmount Mall, which is 5 minutes away, in less than a month. Pathetic KFC, THAT YOUR CLOSED FOR BUSINESS AT 9:14 pm, when you say your open till 10 pm.
Consumers simply shop with there feet, lol, actual, mobile devices, and if your google reviews and ability to be open to business is not there, you simply are behind and not going to survive. Awful LOCATION...
Read moreWe placed an online order at 6:44 pm on 30 Nov 20 and were given an estimate of 75 minutes for delivery, which was acceptable. At 8:30 pm, there was still no sign of our order, so we called the KFC inquiry line to ask about where our order was.
We were left on hold for almost 15 minutes with no answer (or delivery) forthcoming, so we decided to look up the restaurant’s number and inquire with them directly. When we finally got a hold of them, they told us that our order was there and waiting for us. When we inquired about why it hadn’t been delivered yet, there seemed to some initial confusion about whether it was supposed to be delivered and, after a pause, we were then told that it would be “on the next batch out.”
We made a second call to the restaurant about where our order was at 9:15 pm, 30 minutes after the first inquiry was made and, after asking when our order was due to arrive, were hung up on. We tried to make three successive calls, the first never being answered and the second and third ringing busy.
I was then obliged to go to the restaurant in person to demand an answer about our meal and why it was never delivered. When I arrived, I was again greeted with confusion over it needing to be delivered. After determining that this was a complete waste of time, I demanded my money back, but was told that because it was an online order the best they could do for me was refund the delivery and tip. Finally, at approx. 9:35 pm, almost three hours after it was originally ordered, and almost 90 minutes after the original delivery estimate, I finally had my order—which I had to pick up myself.
Suffice to say, this is totally and absolutely unacceptable. We paid for delivery, with the expectation that our supper would at least be close to being on time. We have never been so dissatisfied with KFC after in all of the years that we’ve ordered from them and would sooner have our eyeballs taken out with a spoon than give these people any more of...
