Well if this isn't my favourite place on the planet.... these people know how to make an absolutely bangin' iced latte, with the GOOD oat milk too! These guys and Blenz make the best lattes in the city. What REALLY makes this place is their food is GOOD. Like really good. Like incredible. I am talking specifically about the tofu breakfast bun.... I have just no earthly idea how good a breakfast sandwich can be this good, it's illegal! I have always dreamed of a good vegan breakfast sandwich somewhere in YEG, but they are really hard to come by. Every component of this sandwich is so good.... and the bread.. UGHH THE BREAD. So crusty and perfectly encompasses all of the goodness inside. If I could have this every day for breakfast, I would. Don't try me! I want to add as well as the atmosphere inside is chill and welcoming, feels very community focused which I know it is. Feels very queer friendly and just very inclusive in general which is an obvious plus. I always love to check out their little retail section at the front of the shop where they sell locally made wares and consumables they use in the shop. Planning my next visit to these guys soon......
Read moreThis coffee shop was the closest (and nicest looking) place located by my mothers work, so we visited during her lunch break as the previous reviews were promising- and I can say we both agreed that it lived up to our expectations. We ordered different flavours of iced tea and the bagel with cream cheese, arugula, tomatoes, and balsamic vinegar- it tasted amazing and you could automatically tell that the ingredients were fresh (which in my opinion justifies the price). Other patrons of the store were polite, helping to create a family friendly environment + atmosphere, and there were showcasings of colourful, unique art pieces along the walls. The customer service made you feel welcomed, we were greeted by an employee with a bubbly personality, she was easy to talk to, and even complimented my glasses! Washrooms were clean with nice and “soft” toilet paper (as my mom described them), with adorable signs distinguishing the different genders. Definitely a place worth visiting if you ever happen to be in the location, for example my mother said she will be visiting...
Read moreI must have driven by this place hundreds of times going to and from work, but I’ve never stepped in until I saw that they were on the current CoffeePass. I was a little surprised to see how many reviews they had, considering the area doesn’t seem big for much foot traffic. I tried it today and I totally get it now.
Firstly, their coffee is great. I had an Italian macchiato and found it delicious. Their CoffeePass offer is extremely generous compared to many others, too: up to $5 off a drink (most places offer only espresso, americano and drip as part of it and tack a $1.5 surcharge on top).
Their food is delicious too. I got a pesto bun and my wife got a classic bun and both got the spot in a major way. Both tasted fresh and delicious.
Finally, service was friendly and welcoming. Most coffee shops are the same, but it’s definitely not something I take for granted.
I’ll certainly be back. It was takeout-only when I visited, but the vibes seem perfect for an...
