Cosmic Pizza & Donair — Restaurant in Edmonton

I have been a loyal customer, but my recent experience was extremely disappointing and concerning. On September 16, 2025, I ordered two shawarma pizzas through Uber Eats under my name, Othmane.

I ate the first pizza without any problem. next day after coming back from the work, while eating the second pizza, I reached the last two slices and discovered a piece of plastic inside the slice before the last (photos attached). The piece was not small, and this is a serious food safety hazard. Food poisoning or injury could have easily occurred. Since finding it, I can’t stop thinking that I might have already swallowed small pieces of plastic without realizing it, which has left me feeling uneasy and anxious.

When I spoke to a staff member on the phone, her response was shocking: she treated my case as if it were a simple wrong order and told me I would get a free pizza on my next purchase. Offering a free pizza for such a dangerous incident is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of awareness about the seriousness of the situation.

Then I immediately contacted the restaurant by email to explain the situation in detail, but I never received a reply.

What truly upset me is not just the plastic in the pizza, but the lack of responsibility, concern, and accountability from the business. No one took the matter seriously or acknowledged the potential health risks involved. We are talking about food safety, this should never be dismissed with a generic, scripted answer.

I am not seeking free food or compensation. What I expected was a professional response, proper investigation, and assurance that measures would be taken so this never happens again. Instead, I was left with the impression that the issue was ignored.

It’s truly disappointing to see how little importance was given to something this serious. It makes me lose trust, not just in this restaurant, but in how we are expected to accept such negligence in...

These gentlemen blow out Mind and inspire my son to the core. We drove from Whitehorse down to Calgary for a funeral . This gentlemen Talat not only sacrificed his holiday to work for my family and cook us a meal, but his pizza and food is fresh, ready in time for pick up, they are kind and generous 😇. I am recommending this pizza place to everyone who either lives here and or pass by like we did. It was our fault that we co fuse Stony plain town with Stony plain rd Edmonton, yet as exhausted 😩 as we are he offer us free Cold water and blast us with his warm words, kindness and hope. Was not easy for us to find this place as Google was making so many turns , but this place is a gem. Ban this man, aside from that Wonderful came at 12 tonight. There was two women working one Indian woman doing the visible work and she had such a hard time with a customer I felt so bad for her she was kind and helpful and with the customer as he tried to not pay her and argue with her he orders multiple times at once throughout the time he sits here I guess ?
