DON'T EAT HERE UNLESS YOU WANT FOOD POISONING HEPATITIS OR CONTAMINATED FOOD! The workers DON'T WEAR DISPOSABLE GLOVES when they prepare your food. I ordered a beef donair and poutine to go the other night and was so grossed out as I watched the lady make my poutine. She filled the container with what looked like cold fries, then used her dirty, filthy UNGLOVED HANDS to pickup the shredded cheese to top the fries and then ladeled gravy over. I'm sure the donair was also made by her dirty, filthy UNGLOVED HANDS. I had stepped outside to make a personal call so did not see how it was made but I don't think the meat was heated. Instead I presume she just used the plate of dried out, cold meat that was by the stove when I ordered. When I finished my call and came back in, neither lady was there, then one came out of the back and proceeded to make my poutine with her dirty, filthy UNGLOVED HANDS. Needless to say I did not eat the food but threw it out when I got home. I did unwrap the donair to see how it looked and it was cold, the meat looked dried out and I'm sure it too was made with dirty filthy UNGLOVED HANDS! I tried to call the owner/mgr the next day but was rudely told he was not in and was told they did not know when he would be there. I will try to call again tomorrow, along with the board of health. What a waste of $20. I did not say anything to the worker as I was so in shock that she did not wear disposable gloves but simply grabbed that shredded cheese with dirty, filthy...

Read moreI dropped in for the first time today to give this location a try. The location is new and clean on the inside, and the staff are very nice.
I ordered a Jumbo beef Donair with cheese, classic toppings & a side of garlic sauce. Came out to about $14.70 - not including tip.
Negatives: The Donair was quite small considering the price. I have had regular Donairs of the same size at many other locations. The meat was not heated on the grill for long enough leaving the meat colorless, unable to melt the cheese, and fat congealed from the cold vegetables. The pita bread was not steamed, making it quite hard and dry. The small amount of cheese and sweet sauce only exaggerated the dry quality. I asked if they had Arabic style pickled cucumbers (mikti) to which the response was that they had both pickled turnips and cucumbers. Upon opening my Donair I was greeted with pickle relish instead. The side of garlic sauce resembled a store bought Caesar dressing.
Positives: the beef is sliced thin and had a nice spicy flavour. The Donair is wrapped and presented nicely.
Overall I am quite disappointed and still hungry. I likely will not revisit and cannot recommend this location for their Donairs. Maybe the...
