Today my wife planned to order Pizza from Pizza Hut because last time when she visited pizza hut Hinton during our Rockies trip, we were impressed by the taste and hospitality of the staff members. We tried to call the the nearest pizza hut three time before ordering online to confirm our options due to our dietary restrictions. (Halal and Vege only) Nobody picked up the phone. We decided to go there for order & pickup. When we entered the pizza hut I noticed due to thanksgiving they are understaffed. We showed our patience after some time the guy who was running here and there in red shirt pickup the phone instead of attending us and he took time for his conversation over the phone. After he was done with the phone we inquired for menu he gave us a menu and told us their is a customer behind us. We understood and stepped out and sat in our vehicle to order online, my wife choose the pizzas we wanted and when she tried to order, the order didn't went through the app. We entered again in the pizza hut we are the only one in front of the counter when my wife asked the same guy for another menu and he told her that he gave her a menu a while ago and we must rush (he was rude and loud). My wife told him that she was trying to order online outside but for some reasons the order didn't went through and inquired how many topping do you have on your pizza and before she finished he cut her off and told her that there is the menu on the board and she had to go and see what is in it because they sell by recipe not by toppings and again we tried to ask him but he cut us off. I told him that he has to listen to us first but he kept himself loud and disrespectful. I told him about our experience at Hinton Pizza hut and asked his assistance and patience but instead he kept yelling and told us there are other customers in line and asked helped form another customer who already placed his order and not wearing a mask (Masks are mandatory by-law in City of Edmonton) to help him to show us the door.
I feel whosoever was the staff member on the counter was responsible to answer our questions instead being impatient, loud and disrespectful.
Customer who was not wearing a mask told us to leave because your staff member called him for help. I told that customer that he isn't wearing a mask and mask is required by law and you are not abiding the law and you have no authority to tell us to leave the store and if this is the situation I will call the cops because you aren't wearing a mask and asked your staff member is this pizza hut policy to let people in without a masks. Instead of replying he took his mask off. (Pizza hut staff was continuously putting his mask on and off during our conversation)
After my last sentence the staff member and that customer started swearing and we left the place.
while we were leaving, pizza hut staff member threatened my wife that he has her number and he will make sure that she suffers. (because she called him before entering the store over the phone that are they taking take away orders and availability of vegie and halal options).

Read moreI wish I had checked the reviews first. I’ve recently moved to the area and have since placed two delivery orders from this location. The first one had no issues, but they sent the wrong wings on the second order — I’ve been ordering the same thing from Pizza Hut for years, so I noticed immediately. When I called to politely ask what could be done, I was told, “no worries,” as if that resolved the issue. I asked what resolution they could offer, and was told flatly, “None. We don’t need to do anything.” When I said that wasn’t really acceptable, I was then told to wait 3 days for a refund. That refund never came.
When I followed up days later, the staff member who answered was also dismissive and argumentative. Instead of listening, he talked over me repeatedly, insisted they hadn’t made a mistake because his staff had “10 years of experience,” and claimed the sauce was correct because he “watched the camera”. I tried to ask if this is what their staff are calling mild buffalo sauce, I needed to know how to order what I actually want next time. He refused to let me finish the sentence and kept cutting me off. I asked him repeatedly to let me finish. He would say “go ahead” but then cut me off again before being able to finish what I was saying.
Naturally, I raised my voice just to be heard — not swearing, not yelling, just trying to be loud enough to be able to finish a simple sentence — he called me rude… after repeatedly interrupting me. I said I would be happy to bring the wings there and show them to his face that they are wrong and he then threatened me, saying “you’re messing with the wrong guy.”
I’ve never been treated with such hostility by a business over such a super simple issue. Mistakes happen — but refusing to take accountability, gaslighting the customer, lying about processing a refund and then turning threatening when challenged is actually insane.

Read moreCustomer service and the food has sadly become so trash at this location specifically. We have been ordering pizza from this location for years. However it seems management has clearly changed for the worse.
We ordered pizza a couple weeks ago and as seen on other reviews, the pizza was a little sad looking (no cheese, sauce or toppings on most the pizza). We thought it was a one off situation for us since we’ve never had this issue before, so we decided to order online again and called the restaurant to let them know that it wasn’t made right last time. We were not asking for compensation or anything special or anything other than acknowledgement that it would be better this time. Instead what the manager said was “we make it by standard and we don’t make special pizzas for anyone”. We did end up cancelling this order as the managers customer service was horrible for truly no reason whatsoever. He was speaking over us, aggressively and not listening to us or accepting something could even be wrong with the pizzas that were made.
Pretty disheartening and disappointing to say the least. I’d recommend avoiding this specific location if you can. My family and I are sad to say we will as well be after...
