I never am the person to write google reviews. I am writing this because I have never had a dining experience like I had today. For one, the place was packed which is great. It’s a holiday so that makes sense. I was taken in right away as well which was nice.
I got to the table and waited for my friends. Once they arrived, our waitress didn’t even greet us- she just asked what we wanted to drink and looked annoyed by our presence. My one friend asked for hot water with lemon. The waitress said they don’t have any lemons and don’t have fresh items like that here (despite a picture on the menu with lemons). She said “I can give you hot water though”. We then just ordered waters. 2/3 of us got water then the waitress said “oh yours will be coming”.
We ordered our meals. After 30 mins (again it’s packed this makes sense), our food arrived really cold. The waitress took 2/3 of our plates and said she will heat them up or remake them.
I flagged down another waitress to see if they can take my other friends plate as hers was also cold (and this was clear when we sent it back we wanted them all sent back). The waitress refused and said she can’t take food from another table cause it’s not hers. Shortly after I see her bringing food out to other tables and didn’t get our waitress.
After 30 more minutes they brought only my food and said the others will come eventually and that the cooks got mad at our table for sending it back.
They brought my friends food as well which was burnt, undercooked and honestly just looked like someone was pissed when they threw it together.
Our waitress didn’t come back to ask us how the food was. She didn’t come back at all until I flagged her down for the receipt. She then asked how the second round was- I said awful. She laughed.. she apologized profusely but again, that was near the end.. prior to that. She didn’t seem fazed.
I asked if I could speak to a supervisor/manager- she didn’t acknowledge that.
Also I couldn’t help but laugh when the table beside me ordered of the juices on the menu. This waitress came out with an oasis jug of juice and put it on the table for them to pour their own and gave them cups.
Overall- was a really...
Read moreAbsolutely disgusted with the customer service. Tried to take my family of four for breakfast this morning (10am on Sunday). Very busy, with a wait at the door. 15 minutes passed, and finally a staff member came to address the groups of us waiting. The hostess began taking names and numbers to start a waiting list. When we gave our name and number, she then told us to leave the restaurant and wait in our car until she messaged us. I said, no thank you, I'm not going to wait in the car with my family, we will stay here in the lobby. Ahe then proceeded to tell us no, you can't wait inside because we would be standing in the way. You have to go wait in your car. I told her that that is a very rude way to talk to guests who are looking to spend money in your establishment. I requested to be removed from the wait list, and that I will take my family to a restaurant who is looking forward to my business, and that can provide a customer experience that is pleasurable. I wanted to try the new breakfast place in town, but after this mornings incident, I will not return to Stacked to try it even once. You had an opportunity to recover you lack of customer service, and failed greatly. Do better...
Read moreWent with a friend for breakfast on a Saturday morning, first mistake. Was so busy the entry way crammed.
I had the basic breakfast, eggs/bacon/potatoes/toast - The eggs were cooked perfectly and the bacon was good, the rye bread toasted was good, the potatoes though. . .meh. My friend had the corned beef hash. He loves it and can't stop raving. It's a huge plate of potatoes, hollandaise sauce and corned beef - so if he's loving it, what else can I say?
Very affordable, the service was terrific for us anyway. The deduction of points for atmosphere is because it's way too noisy when full. I had to yell to speak with my friend, way louder than a bar used to be. It is a very clean feeling kind of place, so that good. But, it's all open concept so its crazy on the ears.
The deduction on food might not seem fair, as it was pretty good, but that's it - it was pretty good, not great, not over the top, nada.
I do like that they have gluten free options for waffles and pancakes though - when I return, and I will. . . I might try those and the numbers might change.
I do RECOMMEND giving this place a try for sure! If on a busy day,...
