I have been to this place a number of times and always there is a very kind lady to greet at the front. But this time there was this arrogant guy and a young girl so busy talking having their back at reception That they did not even know somebody entered and saying hi to them. I understand I speak pretty slow But it’s impossible to not hear somebody who’s standing right behind you. I did more than half of the payment with cash and rest with the card. I asked for a receipt. In the receipt, it was not clear about the price of my food, bag cost and all. So I asked the guy, He didn’t say even a single word. I was being really polite and said that I work in a restaurant myself. And I’m concerned about the price I’m paying because the price I paid was completely different from what I was told on the phone. Instead of giving me an answer, He was looking at me with so much arrogance and anger. I mean, what kind of customer service was he giving? I don’t feel that I will ever return again. No offence food is good but this is not the service I would like to have if I am paying. I know I wasn’t adding a tip because I ordered a take out, I always tipped if I dine in. But that behaviour is not something I...
Read moreI have been visiting Savoy’s on 34 since 2015. The taste has not changed much since. While 34 is a busy location, I was suggested about this location in South which is close to Windermere.
It is a gem of a place. The food has always been typical, but what forced me to write this review was the service and hospitality we received today from this location in South Edmonton.
The lady was pleasant and smiling. She was pro active. Our starters came and we were given enough time to eat and finish them before we were served our main course. Our waters were topped up without asking. Our starter/sharing plates were cleared from the table before being server the main course. After main course the dishes were cleared again before we were served coffee. It is one of the best service that I have received in a Indian restaurant in Canada. Thank you for making it pleasant for us, thank you for taking pride in the job you do, thank you for being awesome.
Thank you for your...
Read moreSavoy's South Indian Kitchen in Glenridding was an absolute treat. We ordered the chicken hakka noodles, chicken fried rice, and idli sambhar, and every dish was exquisite. The food was perfectly spiced, not too overpowering, and the flavors were well-balanced and delicious. It's clear that a lot of care goes into their cooking. The restaurant itself is quite small, with only a couple of tables, which makes it the ideal spot for takeout. The cozy atmosphere is welcoming, but the real star of the show is the food, which travels beautifully. The lady who took our order and served us was incredibly warm and hospitable, making the experience even more pleasant. Her friendly service made us feel right at home. For anyone who loves the food from the 34th Avenue Savoy but is looking for a more convenient option for a quick, quality takeout meal, the Glenridding location is a fantastic alternative. I'll definitely be returning for their delicious food and...
