UPDATED REVIEW: January of 2025: Came in tonight, it's been about 7 months since previous glowing review. Numbers are DOWN.

Order a combo on something, upgraded fries to deluxe (and extra 5.49 they charged, the original price of the same is $8.49 - whatever, we wanted it.) Honestly, I didn't take pictures of it as the mexi fries were stone cold, as was the beef. The fries were actually freezer burned. -- For some reason there was a mystery $5 charge on our bill, when asked about it, they said it was part of the combo price, but doing the math --- the math didn't math.

We also ordered the 2/$5.00 empanadas. (Cashier charged $3.49 each, wrong pricing) They are round and full looking. We got flat ones that were sort of edible, we tried but ended up throwing them out.

We had to draw the cashier an actual drawing of the pricing and how it didn't match up. Long story short, got $7 back and a $20 lesson about where we will NEVER go again, like at all. I find it sad because they started out so strong and delicious but have fallen HARD.

NO LONGER RECOMMEND. (and honestly, the food looked so bad and tasted blech, I couldn't compel myself to take a picture.)

Previous review -Summer 2024: In the heatwave, we dropped in for some mexi-fries, burritos and a chicken taco.

1st, the place is clean, the service was friendly & fast. The taco was meaty, for sure, but a little tasteless. Next onto the mexifries....they just didn't have a lot of flavour, not sure what happened. The portions were generous though!

The burrito was filled with beef, and top notch. Asked for a gift card, they couldn't provide on at the time. Disappointing. Would we come back, sure....just wouldn't get the chicken taco or mexi fries. I'd try the burrito & quesadilla!!

I gave the stars for cleanliness, service and overall vibe...

I will preface this review with the fact that I do not blame the staff who are working at the restaurant. We showed up today at around 12:30 PM. At that time there was only 1 staff present. Although the restaurant is new, you can see that tables were not completely cleaned properly and there was dust and debris on the cash registers. The order was slow - there was an issue with their payment system which compounded the issue. The person present needed to juggle figuring out the payment system and constantly running to the back to make the order. She was working very hard. In the end, we spent an hour there - way longer that I expected to be at a fast food restaurant. The bathrooms were also filthy as well which is a bad sign for a restaurant. All of these things (bare bones staff, no time for cleaning) points to a owner willing to cut corners to make money which makes me think about other corners that maybe have been cut on the food safety side. I commend the worker there for finally figuring out a workaround for our payment and also offering some freebies. I'm sure things would have moved faster if the restaurant was staffed properly.

After waiting nearly 40 minutes for my order in the drive through, imagine my displeasure when take a bite of my alleged chicken taco and I spit it out when I realize it isn't chicken (I order it frequently so I know the taste). Fine so my soft taco isn't what I ordered but they might've been busy and messed it up, I let it go and i decided to have my hard chicken taco - it was a beef taco. Okay, this is not good at this point. I decided to call the phone number on the receipt, no answer just a machine asking me to leave a message. I decided to eat my Mexi fries....only that too has been made into a deluxe fries when all I wanted was just a SIMPLE ORDER OF LARGE MEXI FRIES. Seriously this Friday night crew is atrocious! The girl on the window seemed distracted, and not sure why the cook mistook other meats for chicken. At the time of this review I have not received a call back and I feel ripped off, and very disappointed - I feel my loyalty of coming here a couple times a week...
