An absolute trash place I would never recommend to come here. When you initially walk in, you would see the front area by the cashier being used as a storage space, they tried to make the place look nicer by taping some LED lights, and their furniture is very outdated with lots of paint washed off. When I was given the menu, turns out the prices were the old ones and weren't updated. The food was quite plain and nothing special. Once it came to paying, I didn't even look at what the total was as I tend to do with restaurants in general and once I paid, I noticed the worker charged me an additional $17. When asked about it, she said she didn't give me the correct menu and refused to refund me the money. Additionally, when she called the owner or manager, he told me the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard that "the menu is just to look at and not to represent any prices of the items". Absolutely nonsense that I've never experienced anywhere else whether in a low or high grade restaurant. We went back and forth trying to explain to the worker that she made a mistake and that she needs to correct it. This was made even more difficult by the fact that she didn't speak good English. At the end, the worker gave me $10 from her own pocket and the rest was never rectified. Never going to this place again and I would vouche to go to any other well known somali restaurant. Absolute trash customer service and no...
Read moreSamosa best samosa I've had. I asked the lady how much per samosa. She told me $2 each. I ordered 5 to go (10.50 with tax) I also got a mirinda orange drink (was charged 5.70). When her husband (im assuming) came out with my food. He slammed the bag on the counter which made me feel some type of way not going to lie. I then paid with the 20 and was given $3.80 change. I felt like my business was not wanted bit I did not say anything, including the change I got back. I jus wanted to go. I'm a métis but I look completely white. I was not disrespectful so i do not know why I was treated like that. I want to go back because I love their food but I am hesitant. I've never felt so small in a business before. Maybe it was just an off day for him but I hope if I do go back I'm treated more...
Read moreWe love to try new cuisines....and this week was African. We ordered the beef suqaar w/ugali and the lamb shank w/rice meals. First we were given a delightful and flavorful soup to start. And had also ordered the samosas with a fresh hot sauce....omg the hot sauce!!!! Everything was well seasoned, presented nicely and large portions. My aunt sai d the lamb was the best she's ever had. And I'd have to agree; I dont even like lamb. The service was a bit slow but when we got the guys attention he was prompt to reply. He was also friendly and curtious. Would definitely recommend to tantalize your...
