Edit. Their response is saying they haven't changed their portion sizes, but they certainly have. We have ordered from here for years and used to require a much larger bowl. My wife was also shocked "is that what we normally get?! It's so small now!" Oh wow, the portion sizes have SHRUNK. This place used to be my neighborhood favorite. The food is still very tasty but I can no longer afford to eat here. They have scaled back portion sizes far too much. Literally half the size they used to be, and a single vermicelli bowl is STILL $18?! I like this place, I do. But when I picked up my latest meal, my heart sunk. Was what I was holding REALLY all I got for $18? Yes, it was. I wish them the best, but just can't do it anymore.

Good portions for the price! Mix of Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine so there's lots of unique food to choose from. Some recommendations: The Satay Beef/chicken/shrimp Noodle Soup is great. If you don't want soup, the three colour vermicelli bowl is my go-to. For groups, try out the Thousand Spice Chicken - it's not overly spicy and tastes great (anyone can eat it). Make sure to let them know if you have gluten allergies since they Chinese cuisine incorporates soya sauce/msg regularly. Same thing goes for nut and shrimp allergies since they use it in other dishes.

I have eaten here twice in the last 2 days and I have to say this is the BEST Chinese food I’ve had since arriving in Canada from New York. I am smitten. The staff are friendly, professional and just plain nice. You can tell it’s a family rather than a big box chain. And the food tastes, well honestly: wholesome. I will definitely get rider again. Twice I've tried to order ahead of time from this place and twice they've failed to provide the food on time. Tonight they had a group of a dozen of us waiting for nearly an hour past the time they promised it would be ready. No explanation, no estimated time when it will be done, just basically wait and they'll get to you whenever. The 'hostess' knew nothing about what was going on and couldn't answer any question put to her.

The food itself is so-so. My Mom likes it, so my wife and I pick it up for her when we visit, but after hearing about the poor service, she's agreed to try somewhere else.

As for the 'atmosphere', there really isn't any. Both times I've been there, it was almost exclusively pick-up orders. Tonight it was cold enough they had a space heater set up to keep people warm. It was +3 tonight, so I can't even imagine what the place is like on a cold night.

Not their fault, but the parking here is a nightmare. If you're looking for someplace to eat, I'd take a hard pass on this one.

Edit: in response to the owner's response: The exact same thing happened 3 months ago, the only other time I tried ordering this way. It seems to be a regular problem for you folks. And when I arrived there were already 12 people who had been waiting up to 45 min. You had everyone's phone number. It would have been proper for you to call them to let them know, or, at the very least, have your hostess tell people about the delay when folks first arrived, rather than collecting the money first and then telling them about the delay.

Completely unacceptable. I...

When they opened years ago I was rather indifferent but in recent years this had become one of the best Chinese places in town. Nobody does a better Ginger Beef these days. Actually crispy. Sauce is very tangy, very good. The Chicken and Black Bean is also really good. Meat quality is good, the veggies have some snap and colour. Really hits the spot. The Vermicelli Bowls are very popular in our house as well. Yes, times can be longer than average but I think that is because they doing what people like and are pretty busy... haven’t been even slightly disappointed in anything from here in a long time! Other than the small steamed rice is rather small.. Order 2...

Sept 2021 - Was back again the other night, having my two favorites. As good as ever. I was noticing how good the veggies are as well. Not a blemish, crunchy, colourful. Lots of red pepper not just green… this place is...

Delicious. 5 years ago but no more.

I have never had a bad meal from here until tonight. It was disgusting.

The pot stickers had never stuck to anything. Basically, half cooked. Not enough vinegar by half. It goes downhill from here.

Black bean chicken had one spice only. An overdose of MSG. The black bean sauce had not been thickened at all. It not only had no flavour, it is black bean water. It gets worse.

The Cantonese chow mein must have been made by gwai lau. The spicing was early dish water.

I will make an attempt to rescue these dishes, but not tonight.

One other point, the boxes which in the past were always stuffed absolutely full now carry about 60% of what they used to.

Possibly it has changed hands. I did not recognize any of the staff. I am so disappointed.
