This little French bakery in Erin has proven itself times and over to our little community. I, for one, was ecstatic when I found out I could have some authentic Parisien pastries at only a 4 min drive away from home. Throughout my pregnancy, I drove there almost every week for their decadent pain au chocolat and almond croissants. They exceeded expectations especially when it came to a special order cake that my mom visualized for her birthday. She wanted a mille feuille cake, which normally comes with vanilla cream, but made with mango cream. When I called up Bistro DuPain and spoke to Gaelle, she said they've never made it before but will definitely give it a shot! Needless to say, the cake turned out to be decadent and mouth watering! The pastry was so flaky and delicious, the mango cream was the perfect combination of light and fluffy with the correct amount of sweetness. They even put little real mango pieces in the middle, which made the texture of the whole cake pop! I highly recommend that if you happen to be driving through Erin, definitely make a stop by the little "gas station bakery", which will blow your mind and...

Gaëlle and Alan run a wonderful bakery and pastry shop! Every time we dine in, the food is fresh, delicious, and reminds me of my childhood in France! Their staff is also very welcoming. We ended up asking Gaëlle and Alan to cater for a rehearsal dinner and wedding desert. Throughout the process, they were both wonderful to work with: they sat down with us to customize a menu (quiches, cheese platters, salads, cakes), followed-up with us in the days before our wedding to update the menu with seasonal items and coordinate day of logistics, delivered everything to multiple locations and on time, all for a fair price. They went above and beyond several times: for example, Gaëlle delivered multiple times on the evening of our wedding to ensure that one of our deserts (croquembouche) would stay fresh. The food that Gaëlle and Alan prepared was the highlight of the meal and our guests still repeatedly talk about it when we see them! Since then, we always look forward to stopping by Bistro Dupain! Through their dedication and hard work, Gaëlle and Alan have created what is so far the most authentic French bakery I have been...

Bistro DuPain is an absolute delight. From the moment you step inside, you're wrapped in the comforting scent of fresh-baked bread and rich coffee—it's like walking into a warm hug. The atmosphere is charming and relaxed, with just the right touch of European flair.

The menu is a dream for food lovers, especially those with dietary needs. Their gluten-free options are plentiful and thoughtfully prepared—not just an afterthought. Whether you're indulging in a flaky almond croissant or savoring a hearty quiche, everything tastes homemade and full of love.

Coffee lovers, rejoice! Their brews are bold, smooth, and served with care. Whether you're grabbing a quick cappuccino or lingering over a latte with friends, it's the kind of place that invites you to slow down and enjoy.

Service is friendly and attentive, and the staff genuinely goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. Bistro DuPain isn’t just a café—it’s a community staple that makes every visit feel special.

Highly recommend for anyone seeking delicious food, great coffee, and a cozy spot that...

If you’re looking for authentic French baked goods north of the city then this is the spot! The French gentleman behind the counter (perhaps the owner?) was extremely friendly and attentive to my young son which made our trip especially enjoyable. The food quality is phenomenal and I would say bests even many places in Paris and Nice. As always with French food, you can judge the quality even in the simply things like the plain croissants which have the simultaneously flakey outside with chewy inside which you can’t find at a grocery store. I felt like the Squirrelly tart was also a memorable treat but I feel like you would be hard to go wrong. The coffee eclair was filled with creamy smooth ganache that my son thoroughly enjoyed. Looking forward to our next visit!
