Stopped in on a Saturday morning as the reviews were impressive. We were able to grab a couple apple fritters and they were amazing. Also ordered a variety of tarts (2 peach, 2 raspberry and 2 plain). I wasn't impressed with the tarts. The shells didn't seem cooked all the way and the filling of the butter tarts was very runny (not my preference, I prefer a more solid filling) the raspberry and peach fillings were very good. Lots of variety at this bakery: fresh bread and buns, cookies, tarts, donuts, pies, patties, samosas, they have everything. People seem to rave about the apple fritters so I had to get those. I ordered 4 since the cashier said they were freezable. I think they were $2.75/each. They were really good - soft and moist, cinnamon apple flavour with the perfect amount of glaze. I have been doing work in the area and love checking out different small restaurants and bakeries such as this. What an awesome find. Their donuts are by far some of the best I’ve had in a long time and it’s to be noted that they are World War II style donuts. Extremely comforting and delicious. The plane will do you just fine but if you wanna treat go for the apple fritter.
