Stopped in on a Saturday morning as the reviews were impressive. We were able to grab a couple apple fritters and they were amazing. Also ordered a variety of tarts (2 peach, 2 raspberry and 2 plain). I wasn't impressed with the tarts. The shells didn't seem cooked all the way and the filling of the butter tarts was very runny (not my preference, I prefer a more solid filling) the raspberry and peach fillings were very good. I also got two raspberry turnovers which were very good and 2 blueberry bear claws which also werent my favorite. I found the dough was overly yeasty tasting and very dense. Service was quick and...

Lots of variety at this bakery: fresh bread and buns, cookies, tarts, donuts, pies, patties, samosas, they have everything. People seem to rave about the apple fritters so I had to get those. I ordered 4 since the cashier said they were freezable. I think they were $2.75/each. They were really good - soft and moist, cinnamon apple flavour with the perfect amount of glaze. I wanted to try the lemon cream cheese danish but they switch up the flavours and didn't have this one available. I am glad I tried this and it was delicious, but not worth my...

I have been doing work in the area and love checking out different small restaurants and bakeries such as this. What an awesome find. Their donuts are by far some of the best I’ve had in a long time and it’s to be noted that they are World War II style donuts. Extremely comforting and delicious. The plane will do you just fine but if you wanna treat go for the apple fritter.

After speaking to some locals in town apparently this is the place to stop on the way to cottage country for some sweets. Or if you’re like me on the way home to...

It sounds like Old Fashion Bakery offers a mix of traditional baked goods at affordable prices. Their tea biscuits stand out as a highlight delicious, lightly sweetened, and perfect with tea. If you prefer subtle flavors over overly sugary treats, this might be a great option. However, if you’re looking for more indulgent pastries, it may not fully match your taste. Still, it’s a good choice for those who enjoy classic, simple baked goods at a reasonable price.
