CW Coop's ANGUS — Restaurant in Essa

So I was visiting a friend In Angus, so I wanted to treat them to dinner and show up at their place with food. I’ve had CW at different locations in the past and it’s been pretty good So I thought this would be a great choice. I was greeted with a smile made my Take out order, which was a double of wings Because that also came with a side and two flavors. I also pay up charge to change my fries to waffle fries. The service was really good and the atmosphere was friendly, I did end up waiting about 25 minutes for the food, which is OK, after getting the food and getting to my friends place when we opened up the food, we were both kind of confused because there was The smallest amount of waffle fries in the container. There was barely enough for each of us to have four, and not big pieces either. So that kind of sucked for having a $5.99 up charge as well. When we ate the wings, they weren’t the greatest either, they were really tough and dry And we also got a piece of celery that was brown. I’m really not normally one to write reviews but I’m so disappointed in this place basically since the pandemic started. My husband and I used to love going here for wing night and I love their fresh cut fries, wraps and chicken sandwich! but since we can’t eat in restaurant, we’ve ordered takeout 3 times and every time have been super dissatisfied with the food. My husband ordered a wrap and fries last night, I ordered a chicken sandwich and poutine, we got wings to share and dill pickle spears. Well the food showed up, one of our drinks was missing and my poutine was just regular fries. We called and the lady on the phone offered to give us a refund or credit for our next order... my husband had to tell them that I’m pregnant and was craving poutine for them to finally say they’ll fix it and bring out the poutine and drink. The poutine didn’t show up for almost half an hour so my husband had already finished his dinner at that point. Not to mention the lettuce on my husbands wrap was brown, the fries tasted like month old potatoes and the dill pickles were soggy. We will not be ordering from here again. So disappointing cause this used to be our go to...

Came here for the first time tonight. We liked the idea of buy 1 pound of wings get 1 free.

Our waitress wasn’t the friendliest (with us). she smiled and greated everyone else except us. Whenever we said “thank you” for something she would just walk away. No smile from her and she just glared at us from across the restaurant.

Another waitress with black hair was kind to us. She was the one who brought us our food & came back mid meal to ask how everything was. There was also a tiny blonde lady who looked like a manager, who was very nice to us. She brought us our bill and asked how everything was. She also thanked us for coming.

Our original waitress obviously couldn’t care. She never even gave us a bucket for our bones.

When ordering as well I had asked if my wings could be boneless & my boyfriends be non breaded and she cut me off and said “no they have to be the same”.... well why offer options then?

Overall it was an ok experience. Will probably come back since we now live in town but definitely not when...
