Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Essa

⚠️Update: Instead of fixing the issue, the manager chose to prove my point:

Just want to say that this is probably the worse experience I've had at a restaurant.

If you love your pizza with no sauce or barely any cheese and are ok with spending $20 for baked bread then this place is for you.

If you also like feeling like your concerns aren't valued then I recommend raising a complaint specifically with the manager of this establishment.

When the pizzas my family and I ordered were made terribly compared to the standards of other Pizza Huts I was disappointed. Instead of listening to feedback and trying to make things right the manager just ignored everything and told me to speak to corporate. No apology for the poorly made pizzas.

I will now drive an extra 20km just to get a decent pizza that's not from this place.

Thank you for taking the time to respond, but I’d like to clarify a few points.

First, the large handcrafted pizza is cheaper then the large pan, so the idea that it was “not within my preferred price range” is misleading. The issue wasn’t cost, but that I was told my two mediums would be upgraded to a large, and after waiting 20 minutes, was informed that the employee was new and unable to do what was stated. That’s not a matter of preference, but of communication and consistency.

Second, the fact that so much time was spent reviewing cameras and my Google review history instead of simply focusing on making a quality pizza shows exactly why I was dissatisfied. My main concern was the food quality compared to other Pizza Huts I’ve visited, and how my feedback was dismissed in the moment.

Finally, bringing up my review history in a public response feels unprofessional. This review reflects only my experience at this specific location. In fact, looking at this location’s other reviews, there is a clear pattern of customers also complaining about mediocre pizzas and how stingy you are with the sauce and cheese.

I stand by my original feedback: the food quality and service at this location did not meet the standard I’ve come to expect...

I ordered a pizza tonight at 9:06 pm for pickup as the restaurant is not suppose to close until 10. I was about half hour away but just wanted my order in when I had some free wifi service. Right after 9:30 I got a call asking if I was coming for my order. I said yes I’m a couple minutes away. The person on the phone sounded annoyed but said okay. I show up before 9:40 and it’s closed..? So obviously they were waiting for me so they could leave is why there were visibly not happy. When I questioned about it I got annoyed responses from two workers about them closing early. They made me feel like I inconvenienced them for ordering a pizza prior to a stated close time. I was very polite and apologized and they still just came off fairly rude. I don’t normally write reviews but I’m here finding myself bothered and wished I just ordered elsewhere. Pizza was good but I lost my appetite after being made to feel that way. If you’re planning on closing early perhaps call the customers and let them know I don’t know. I will order...

READ OTHER REVIEWS!!! Ordered from here twice. First time I was conservative with tipping delivery driver due to financial situation at the time and the food taking wayyy longer than it should, second time was last night and tipped 20%. First order was great. Second order I noticed both seals on the boxes broken. One of them the top one had been unstuck maybe from steam. The other seal was deliberately cut. Needless to say both pies went into the garbage can. Took a quick look first and few black hairs tucked in there. Do not trust this place anymore. Food tampering or poisoning. Whatever. STAY AWAY from here. My security camera also caught the delivery guy snooping around my vehicle before drop off. East Indian guy. Some criminal stuff going on, I invite this guy back, you know my address. I’ll have the deportation office here...
