We have been ordering Panda Express for the past 5 years now and we have reached our breaking point. We order monthly from them and go in in person as well. The food has been good all but once when it was super dried out (we can handle the one off for food quality). What we can no longer handle is the poor customer service and the constant waiting. You call in an order and they say ok it'll be whatever time they quote, you show up and it's never ready. Oh another 25 minutes, oh another 40 minutes oh another hour and a half, two hours even. Last year we pre ordered near New Years. We ordered a full day in advance and then I even called the morning of to remind them. I got an oh ya no problem no problem. YES PROBLEM. It was not ready and we were told it would be another 4 hour wait.
Fast forward to today and yet again it's not ready. This time they were sneaky about it. Looked for our order and said yup pay here. So he paid and then was told after paying. Nope not ready you wait for 30 more minutes, ready in 30 minutes.
He said no! I'll get my money back thanks. I'm not waiting another 30- let's be realistic 45 min then a drive back to feed my child.
They argued and didn't want to and said fine well do 20 min, 15 min
Heck No he wanted the money back! Eventually they reimbursed us so he could go get something somewhere else.
The food is good but not worth the headache, frustration, and aggravation.
We will NEVER spend our money there again and will no longer go there for lunch for work and will no longer reccomend them.
Sneaky and dishonest way to conduct business by taking money so that people think they are trapped and...
Read moreMoved to Angus 6 mos ago and have been on a quest to find our new fave Chinese takeout and delivery place to replace our years long fave.
This is the only place in town that makes Cantonese chow mein the way we like it. Hard to find good Chinese in the area. We have tried them all including those in Barrie and we will order from Chinese Express from now on.
Portions are good, offering value for $ even in an inflation economy. Flavours on point. Restaurant is clean and tidy. There is a small dine in area and parking is easy right outside. It is a fast food type location however, so don't expect fancy. Most don't eat in, is my guess.
I recommend ordering direct and picking it up yourself to save a few bucks. The apps cost too much and price is about $2 higher per item that way because the restaurant has to pay a cut of what they earn, thru the app, to the app. Picking it up helps them and helps you. Angus is small, it's worth the short drive.
We had Cantonese chow mein, sweet and sour chicken balls, shrimp and broccoli, and dragon and Phoenix which is a tray with one half shrimp and mixed veggies, and other half general tso chicken. I do wish there was an option to just get garlic broccoli or even just plain broccoli.
We will probably ask for a bit less sauce next time but our dinner was tasty and we...
Read moreYesterday, my husband and I called in our order at 5:52pm and was told would be an hour. We showed up 10 to 7 only to be told "10 more mins". I paid and went back out to the car to wait. I went back in 15 mins later and was told "its coming right up, 5 mins". I went back out to the car and waited another 10 mins. When I went back in I was told I had one more item cooking, come back in 5. At this point my husband had enough. He went back in wanting a refund. He found out they were on order 78 and we were order 84. They had not even STARTED to cook our food. He also saw them the whole time continue to take orders via the phone. At this point they had no business taking orders from people when they were well over 2 hours behind on the time they said. No idea if they had new cooks or what, but we will not be returning to this location. Well done of alienating your regular customers. Went across town to place my $110 order and they had it ready in 15 mins and tasted just as good...
