Boston Pizza — Restaurant in Fort McMurray

Went with my husband to enjoy our 4 year first date lunch. I'm not sure what I was expecting for service as his ex is a waitress there, although she was not there today I was left feeling like the moment we walked in were going to get bad service. We were served by 3 different servers I'm guessing only to gossip? When asked how the food was it was great except the artichoke pizza chips it was served with was salty. The waitress said that's how it is and walked away. I was shocked because this isnt the first time I've had this dip. Then another waitress asked us if we wanted a refill, I mention again the dip was salty and she said that's how it is would you like more chips for the dip, I said I prefer not. She took it away. As they were doing up the bill I could hear the waitress huffing and puffing and annoyed the waitress had asked to take the dip off the bill. When the waitress brought the bill over she said next time to ask for no salt, I said it's never tasted this salty before, she said well that's how it is and wanted to argue about the fact I felt as a customer it was too salty....meanwhile you can see the chunks of white crushed sea salt on the chips but again she reiterated that's the pizza seasoning on the chips. We went for supper last night and it was busy, with birthdays, celebrations and just people enjoying a night out like ourselves. We were greated and seated in a timely manner, when our server Alyssa M approached the table and welcomed us back with a friendly greeting. Now I've been in the serviced industry for twenty five years, and I can always tell when a server has had a long, long day. When she offered to start us off with drinks, i simply asked her how her day has been (and you can tell she hasn't been asked that all day) the smile that came across her face was unmatchable. It was the look of relief :) she was so kind, an attentive the entire time we were there. My 10yo daughter even mentioned that she enjoyed the fact that Alyssa had taken the time to ask her what she wanted to eat and for a beverage, and went above and beyond making her feel like part of the group not "just a kid". Alyssa made sure that we always had a fresh beverage, through the entire experience, our food came out correct, and well cooked every step of the way, right down to appropriate packaging for our leftovers. Alyssa i can definitely say that you deserve a raise, and a good set of vacation days!! There is a Family side and Pub Side (18+).

The staff here are AWESOME. Super-friendly and very good with Customer service. Your glass will never go dry. They are quick to ensure that you have a cold one at all times.. if you want one.

Serving a great selection of beers and drinks, soup, salads, pizza, pasta, burgers, wings, etc...

☆I recommend: Mild (Fried) Wings. Any one of their pasta dishes. The Boston Royal Pizza, Bandera Bread. The Pepperoni Pizza. I hear the Boston Brute is also good.

The beer is cold, and if you go on the right days, the Specials are VERY GOOD.
