This used to be my favorite place in town. We have been ordering from Oi since before she upgraded to her own business in her garage. It was always our go to place, we LOVE Thai food and Thailand! Recently, I have to say portion size has gone down, quality has decreased, and prices have gone way up. I understand the economy but, why??? If you reduce your size, keep your prices reasonable. If you up your price keep your portion generous. It is more than frustrating. On top of that, when I last ordered I went through the website as I HATE using Skip (I prefer the thought of keeping all proceeds in the businesses pocket; especially when local) and after seeing promotion for 10% off... I was charged a $8 delivery fee and a tip, my one noodle dish with wontons cost me a little over $48. Out of curiosity I put the same order into Skip and it was $41 with delivery and tip... Why use the website????? I called to share this experience, left a message and never heard back :(. I have to say I am extremely disappointed in the direction of business strategy this local...
Read moreI have never written such a negative review before, but my recent experience at Oi Thai Restaurant was absolutely terrible. The food we were served was undercooked and made my son very sick shortly after eating.
When I brought this to the owner’s attention, instead of showing any concern or empathy, he rudely told me to take my son to the hospital, not to his restaurant. He even threw money at me and became verbally abusive when I tried to explain the situation.
To make it worse, when I said I would share my experience online, he arrogantly replied that bad reviews don’t impact his business — showing how little he cares about customers or their well-being.
What shocked me the most was his complete lack of compassion. As a regular customer, I expected at least some decency and responsibility, but instead, I was met with disrespect and aggression.
I will never return to this place again, and I strongly urge others to think twice before dining here. No family should ever be treated this way or have their health...
Read moreI've ordered from here twice. Very authentic and I'm just greatful we have a place like this in Fort Mac! Pad thai: It's good but not the best.. something missing and too salty... They should consider adding fresh herbs or something. Spring rolls: I do like these spring rolls but I know a lot of people aren't loving the dominant taro root flavor which is what I grew up with. I don't like the thick chili chicken dipping sauce that comes out of a bottle. Fried rice - this was really really good. The flavor was refreshing and it wasn't greasy. Green pork curry: runny but the meat was very good and it wasn't very spicy. A lot of bamboo shoots. Red beef curry: This was much better than the green curry and spicier. Chicken strips: The flavor wasn't very Thai - I actually prefer the chicken...
