I usually go to Fort McMurray once or twice a year and really enjoy the food. My go-to place is Yoshi but they were closed Monday and I had to try this new place. The decor was okay as it had a hip bistro feel. The washroom unfortunately needed some TLC as the taps were clearly broken. I’ll have to say though that the food was the worst I’ve had. The food looked really good but when you tasted it there were major issues. The agadashi tofu was terrible as you can tell it wasn’t freshly made. The tempura prawns had so much batter that it broken into two when picked up. The sashimi had sand in the yellowtail pieces. Other pieces seemed waterlogged. And the sushi rice in the sushi was so sour that you’d wonder if they poured the entire bottle in there. I rarely find a sushi place I dislike but I’ll never go back there. I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 star because the service was actually pretty good. It was not a good experience. What you see ordered here cost me $64 plus tip (which I still did as the service was good).

I've had the sushi a couple of times which had been great however ask for the Ramen menu, I do believe they took over triple S noodle bar.. the Ramen is likely up there with the best I've had. The spicy is delicious, the broth is always fantastic and the fresh veg, both beef and chicken have been great, I've brought multiple family members now and friends to try the Ramen here and all have loved it. The price point I find is more then fair for the portion you get, I usually have the same lady serving us, always very kind and attentive, I give this place a 5/5 for me based on the consistency and quality of food matched with the service, if you have not I urge you to ask for the Ramen menu and try it out 🤌

I don’t like leaving bad reviews but in this case I must advise others: Worst ramen of my life. The miso broth was heavy & greasy; the egg was hard boiled, not soft or soaked in soy; the worst offenders were the fresh cucumbers and carrots in the soup! Cucumbers and carrots sometimes belong in pho, not ramen; I never even tasted the pork but it wasn’t chasu pork, just bbq pork belly. Perhaps they have other dishes that taste good but my advice is to avoid the ramen until they change their recipe. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere looked clean, nice, and traditional.

For those have stated that Spring Moon is the best sushi place in Alberta you really have not visited them all. Some restaurants serve sushi, however are not classified as a Sushi restaurant.
