As a lifelong Fredericton resident, I've eaten at Cora's plenty of times over the years. I've come to expect good food, pleasant staff, and an enjoyable brunch experience. I ate there yesterday with my girlfriend and had a bad enough experience to warrant finally leaving a review.
Now, firstly, I understand what to expect going at 10am on a Sunday, probably one of their busiest times. Slow food or service would have not bothered me at all, but much more went wrong.
We arrived shortly after 10, were seated and our order taken 15 minutes later. We had had enough time to choose our meal, so we ordered food, 2 glasses of water, a smoothie and a "bowl" of cappuccino to share. Our smoothie (which was delicious) arrived with one of one of the most disappointing coffee beverages I've ever had. Still missing our waters (and requesting them again), we tried our flavourless 500 ml mug filled with a single shot of espresso mixed with lukewarm milk. It was ice cold within 2 minutes and was extremely disappointing for a nearly $5 coffee.
45 minutes later (again, I'm nor concerned with this part) another server dropped off our food. I asked for 2 waters... again, which she replied with "I'll try to ask your server for those". I just wanted some tap water! The fruit as usual was very tasty, but my wrap was my next disappointment. This crepe wrap was to have 3 ingredients: ham, eggs and cheddar cheese. What I received was some very overcooked ham and egg with no cheese at all. Eventually our server came back, and I did send this back, enjoyed my fruit, and received a replacement another 30 minutes later. I asked for waters again and finally received a single glass with my bill.
I'm really not a review-writer, and I have no problem with slow service, or any one of those issues, but the combination of everything lead to a very very poor dining experience.
Moral of the story: pack a water bottle if you go...

First of all, I want to say our server Justine and both young hostess were incredible. They did everything to make our experience better! I really appreciate their kindness in the light of the other situation.
Myself and my friend were sat at a table in the middle of the restaurant. I just got my vaccine and was sore, and we were uncomfortable being in the center of the restaurant. It was later, and pretty quiet, and our hostess and waitress were happy to move us to a booth near the dishwasher and server section where we had more privacy and were much more comfortable.
Next thing we know, a server named Mallory began loudly complaining with other servers that we had moved. We could hear everything she was saying. She continued to give us dirty looks, and even shook her head at us at one point. During our entire meal, we could hear her continuing to speak about us.
We were both in complete disbelief that this was happening. We felt so unwelcomed and bullied in a restaurant. We ate our food as fast as we could because we just wanted to leave. It was a really upsetting experience. We were celebrating my university graduation but instead just sat there silently being judge by...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreArrived at Coraās at 12:27pm and didnāt leave until after 2pm when it clearly wasnāt that busy. The waitress Heather was rude to us from the beginning for no reason. She did not paid attention to when we ordered which we waited for over an hour just to receive everything wrong. When I said thank you for my drink, Heather did not reply and walked away. However Heather did offer my friend more coffee but still never managed to succeed. We had to speak to the manager just to receive our food that was clearly ordered wrong. We explained to them what was wrong and still waited 20 minutes to receive our bills just so Heather could tell us to go to a bank to withdraw money because their debit was down. The only thing the staff did to make our visit better was remove $5 off my friends incorrect meal/apologized and not even offer myself or my other friend a discount for waiting over an hour and had forgotten the side of hashbrowns, let alone cover the extra $3 fee we had to pay to go to a bank to pay for something that wasnāt even worth our money. I am confident to say this will be our last visit to Coraās which is unfortunate because it used to be my favourite breakfast...
