Joe's has been a staple in the Devon area for over 50 years, and after a few turbulent years (due to changing ownership after longtime owners Boyd and Helen MacTavish sold the diner), the new owners have things back to the way they should be. The food is second-to-none, with generous servings. The staff are warm and inviting and have gotten to the point where they pour me a coffee as soon as they see me come in. Typically, they will have one of two cooks working, who have about 80 years of cooking experience between them, which is fitting for the diner.

For those who have never been to a real diner before, I highly recommend it; there's just something about being able to watch your food be cooked while you sip away at your coffee while reading the newspaper that is incomparable. Not to mention, everything is homemade, from the pie to the bread, yet none of this is reflected in the prices, which are very reasonable.

Overall, I have nothing negative to say about any of my experiences at Joe's. Each visit is as good as the last, and I look forward to each...

Visiting Fredericton and found this diner near our Air BnB. Very good basic diner breakfast. Joe’s is an independently owned counter only diner with about 12 seats. It is tiny and I do not understand how the 3 very welcoming and attentive folks manage to crank out the awesome food that they do, given the cramped quarters.
