If you’re looking for a cozy, budget-friendly spot that feels like stepping back in time, this restaurant is a great find. The food is delicious, hearty, and well-priced — perfect for breakfast or lunch without breaking the bank. Their weekday specials make it even more worth the visit, and the generous portions mean you definitely get your money’s worth.

Customer service is top-notch — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The old-fashioned décor, complete with classic booths, adds a nostalgic charm, while the open concept seating and kitchen create a lively, casual atmosphere. It’s also nice to see plenty of seating available, so you rarely have to wait for a table.

A thoughtful touch is the self-serve station for water, coffee, and tea, which makes it easy to top up your drink anytime. The only small downside is that the open grill can give off a bit of fume, so those sensitive to grease smells might want to sit a little farther from the kitchen area.

Located conveniently with free parking, it’s open every day except Monday — making it a solid go-to for breakfast and lunch any day of the week. Overall, it’s a warm, welcoming spot that offers great food, great value, and an old-school diner...

Order. Visit. Feast. Repeat the Breakfast Cooked with Love at the Sunshine Diner Awesome food & service served by a staff family to families and travelers that has love baked into each bite. Our favorite server is seasoned - Lynn who could out-serve a teenager on rollar skakes.

The Sunshine Diner is an Oasis in a sea of corporate fast-food joints. There is a reason it is a hang-out for the locals as well as the occasional visitors from across the street from the Delta Hotel. The food is fresh and cooked to order from a menu that is a testament to a family-friendly local restaurant. The prices are more than reasonable and the portions generous. There is a leveling of the social hierarchy as everyone obtains their own beverages which is part of the charm in watching the newbies get politely put in their place when water & coffee & drinks are requested.

The Sunshine Diner teaches the lessons of patience, gratitude, and fellowship as opportunities are presented for families to interact beyond the cell phone screen in a heartfelt environment. So, be patient, visit with your family, and await the breakfast feast that awaits you at every visit to the...

Nestled in the heart of Fredericton within the historic walls of a former grocery store, The Sunshine Diner offers a captivating journey through time and taste. Adorned with photos of old Fredericton buildings, the ambiance is a charming nod to the past. What truly distinguishes this diner is the genuine friendliness of the staff, creating an atmosphere that transforms a meal into a memorable occasion. The extensive menu, ranging from classic breakfast fare to more mealtime diner plates, is a testament to culinary excellence. Yet, it's the simplicity of their breakfast offerings—flawlessly executed omelettes, golden pancakes, and classic eggs Benedict—that steals the spotlight. The homemade bread is spectacular. The careful curation of ingredients ensures satisfaction for every palate. Beyond the culinary delights, the diner's vintage charm fosters an environment that invites lingering conversations and creates lasting memories. The Sunshine Diner isn't just a place to dine; it's a cherished institution, seamlessly blending history, hospitality, and exceptional food for an unparalleled experience in...

Friendly staff and a quintessential diner experience. I've been here a few times and it's always the same. Everything they make is comfort. Whether it's with family or just dining alone, their all day breakfast is great. I keep saying I'll get other things on the menu, and have once or twice, but their breakfasts are great. This time around I had the Really Big Breakfast. Everything is what you would expect from an old school diner style restaurant. Nothing fancy, but all comfort and nostalgia. Couple that with all you can drink self-serve coffee and tea, and you can spend quite some time in here. It's also often busy so don't expect to rush in and out. It's the perfect lazy weekend morning kind of spot.

First time here one of the last Traditional dinners left in Fredericton. Great prices good portions. Had the breakfast special; scrambled eggs with ham sausage or bacon toast, home fries or baked beans. For 8.99 includes Coffee, btea or Glass of juice. It's serve your own bottomless coffee and water. Nice atmosphere with groups of people chatting about the world. Definitely will be coming back the next time I want a home style meal.
