I loved this place. We drove out of our way to get to it. We liked the quality of the food and the service from the staff. We had never gotten a bad experience up until now.
One bad experience usually will not deter me from giving the business a second chance. However, in this case, we were not only given bad service and previous conflicting information, but a resolution that makes me feel frustrated and angry.
My boyfriend, as a treat, went to Amiral to pick me a plate of chicken. Due to new dietary restrictions, I asked him to pick up a side of vegetables. This was provided to me in the past, not even 3 weeks ago, and pointed on the menu that you could pay extra to obtain it. These vegetables were the eggplant, zucchini, etc.
However, this option was now impossible. We could not even get a vegetarian platter, with a side of chicken. At the end, out of options, my boyfriend picked the falafel platter. He was told it would contain vegetables, however it only had a salad (note: this could have been from a misunderstanding).
I called to make a complaint. I was calm, and I wanted to relay the experience and provide feedback; that's what you do when these things happen. I spoke with the manager, whom I think I have seen several times before. Unfortunately, the conversation did not go in any direction to allow for feedback and conversation. I will not go into details, I also lost my cool, but I told the manager I would not be coming back and that he had lost my business.
I'm sorry to say I won't be going back. As a feedback, if the owners/managers ever read this or get to this point, please learn to take feedback and listen to your customers. I don't want to cost you money, I want to pay for the goods; you had always told us in the past "If we can do anything, let us know! Just call us!". I called, and this was a disappointment.
I still thank you for the many years of good service, and I...
Read moreCheep owner. Charges the same on a trio for a falafel sandwich as one made with beef or chicken when the price is .75 less expensive if you just get the sandwich. That means you're paying 5.25 for a bottle of water and some rice with a trio if you do the math. I mentioned it to the cashier who told me he was the owner. I said I didn't expect to pay that much and he said he wouldn't lower the price. He said he would for others but not me, maybe because I'm an old woman, who knows, which made me feel as if I never wanted to go back. I only asked why the price for a falafel trio was the same as one with the more expensive sandwich as it was the first time I ordered a trio so I was surprised it was the same price. I like this place and have been going there for a couple years as the food is good, but treating people like that is inexcusable. . There are better places to go and I hope never to go back after being treated like that. The owner ruins this place. Obviously just a cheep penny pincher with no manners whatsoever. I can take my falafel habit...
Read moreI went to this cafe to try it not the shawarma next to it. The shawarma resto and the cafe share the same space so it's kind of a mood killer. The decor was created by someone who obviously has no idea what a real cafe is. Maybe go and visit moca loca and mulligan. It looks cheap and generic. Also plastic fork... really??? I ordered a crepe with chocolate and received the most disgusting outrageous thing I have seen. Someone chopped up and murdered some poor crepe and.made spaghetti out of it then spritzed some ready cheap chocolate sauce over it. Also the girl mixed up my order though there was no one there. Also ordered the smoothie and again this poor girl had no idea what a smoothie was. I had to throw it it was this bad, some milk and badly chopped mango pieces inside. please fix your menu, I can make all of these at home, but would be happy to have a...
