Moca Loca Café — Restaurant in Gatineau

LOVE Moca Loca!! I have never actually been to the location but I order off Uber often.

I usually get a variety of drinks and they have never once disappointed. The staff takes extra time packing everything up with plastic wrap so they can still fill it to the brim without it spilling.

I almost always get the California wrap that is like a curried chicken with kale and raisins and and few nuts I believe. I absolutely love this.

Soup is always good as well and they have a soup of the day. it’s great to have a rotation to try different things. Today I got a Carrot Mint soup and it’s liquid gold. Not a hearty soup but would have never tried it otherwise and the flavours are amazing. Staff took time to individually wrap and tape a few crackers for my soup as well.

The product is fantastic but the dedicated staff there bring Moca Loca to the next level. As an anglo I try my best to use my French and the staff has always been extremely friendly on the phone and are happy to take a minute to figure out what I’m looking for, even with a language barrier. This kind of attitude that is rare in this neck of the woods. The attention to detail with their take away orders and maintaining and fantastic standard does not go unnoticed and has been consistent for the last couple of years.

Avis concernant le service au Moca Loca – Pavillon Lucien-Brault, Université du Québec à Gatineau

Je souhaite attirer l’attention de la direction sur la qualité du service reçu à deux reprises au comptoir du Moca Loca du pavillon Lucien-Brault. Malheureusement, j’ai été victime d’un service très désagréable de la part d’une employée, une personne qui semble être d’origine asiatique.

Le second incident a eu lieu le 03/10/2025 à 10h32 am. Après en avoir discuté avec d’autres étudiants, il semblerait que je ne sois pas la seule personne à avoir eu des expériences négatives avec cette employée, qui aurait tendance à manquer de respect, particulièrement envers les personnes de couleur.

Je considère important de partager cette situation afin que la direction puisse porter une attention particulière au comportement de son personnel et s’assurer que tous les clients soient accueillis avec respect et professionnalisme.

Merci de prendre les mesures nécessaires pour améliorer l’expérience...

Very friendly personnel. The owners are always there and make you feel like you're one of the family. And the food is both delicious...
