FOR CONTEXT I AM BLACK, I USE THEIR RACE TO DESCRIBE THE EMPLOYEE TO THE OWNER I am an ubereats driver and had the most unprofessional experience I have ever had in thousands of deliveries. I walked in with a stacked(double) order and I the black employee at the front my phone with both the order numbers and names visible. Both the orders were already out on the front dest when I arrived with their names on them in plain view. Out of lazyness he only read one of them and passed it to me, he grabbed the other one when he saw that I was reaching for it. I politely informed him that I had a double order and tried to show him the phone again, at this point he already made up his mind and was patting himself on the back for catching an attempted theft. At this point, he is only engaging me with the tone you would use to confront a thief, he was too invested on his stance that he couldn’t peddle back. I showed it to him again after being berated for a fifth time, (all in the most holier-than-thou, condescending attitude imaginable), and he finally realized his mistake. Rather than be kind and apologetic, he took the ‘abusive-alcoholic-boyfriend’ route and just began to blame me for HIS misunderstanding, at this point I decided to leave with what little self respect I had left. A black female co-worker followed me out, asked me what happened, and explained to me that thefts like this happen often and tried to apologize. She begged me to continue with the order, I agreed on the condition she call the manager so my complaint would be heard. She tried to convince me not to complain, and I told her that I understand she wanted to brush it under the rug for her co-worker, but I would only do it on those conditions. She spent the 15 minutes arguing, then agreed. We walked to the front and the original problem-coworker instructed her to disregard me and she obliged. I originally had no problem with the black woman, but the fact that I asked her not to waste my time in the first place and she ignored that request, now I do have a complaint for her also. She completely understood the fact that her co-worker was being unprofessional and not representing the restaurant according to policy, she decided that covering for her co-worker was more important than customer-satisfaction. 100% Chance that both customers received cold food. She also selfishly and purposely wasted my time, which is also unprofessional, all in the hope of brushing her co-worker’s bad behaviour under the rug. I will call in to speak to the manager and also be complaining to corporate if the owner/manager doesn’t...
Read moreI came in for a team lunch, we were 8 in total. We arrived at 1130, ordered by 1145 probably. Of the 8 of us, 6 received food after 45-60 minutes of ordering (food came in staggered). The 7th after 1h15, and I never received my food until after the group paid. One person's food first came with any toppings (pierogie pizza with sour cream, cheese, chives...) and was taken back without much of a thought or words exchanged, and brought back to be found that it was also undercooked. The plate was brought back again but never came back and that person never received food. Drinks (soda, not alcohol) came well after the food after we had to remind the server.
The server was never apologetic about the service or mentioned anything about it, as if it was normal. We found and spoke with the manager (after having been told he'd come see us due to the uncooked pizza, but never did) and he kindly reduced everyone's bills by 50%, while mine and the person with no food were free. My food, I ordered a salad with chicken, came after everyone paid. When I realised it had no chicken, I went back to return it because I didn't want it anymore and got met with attitude from the manager saying it was never written down on my order that I wanted chicken, as if it were my fault.
A similar experience, again with a salad, happened to me 6 months ago but I thought it was a one off. It wasn't.
Boston pizza by the looks of it automatically replies to one star reviews and asks for feedback on their website. Instead of writing how I think your team should improve, maybe someone should visit the site and see it for themselves, as management should. You have plenty of feedback and anecdotal evidence to...
Read moreOnce I ordered food here for delivery straight from the store itself. After 90min my food wasn't at my house. I called back, they tell me the food just left. I wait another 30 min despite it being a 5 min drive. I call back, they're closed, still no food. Finally, another 30 min later the food shows up but I'm over it and the delivery guy had ATTITUDE and was a super rude prīck when I said I wasn't paying full price for 2h late cold food. He leaves WITH my food.
Next day the owner calls me to tell me my food was actually hot when it arrived because they didn't even make it until after my call so it certainly had not "just left" the restaurant. He offers me a discount and sends food to my house but STILL forgets half my order. Delivery guy shows up and says I can only have the food (now for free) if I take my review down from Google (the reason the owner called in the first place).
I've since heard even more absolute horror stories about the owner and staff (or lack there of) at this location so here's my review, back up, because screw bad business people and their poor attitudes, their inability to properly pay and treat staff, and the overall disappointment of a BP franchise.
UPDATE: The BP website will ONLY let me order from the Portage location which is absolutely terrible, instead of the much better Plateau location. I dislike delivery apps so I prefer to use the website but it will only send my order to Portage and they're just the absolute worst location to order from. My order is ALWAYS au least half an hour later than the max waiting time AND I'm never offered any sort of compensation for this subpar service.
Avoid this location...
