Ou Quoi — Restaurant in Gatineau

I recently visited Ou Quoi and I have to say, it was an absolutely terrible experience. The worst part? The waitress. From the moment we sat down, it was clear she had no idea how to provide basic customer service. Not only was she rude and unprofessional, but she actually yelled at several of the customers at our table for no reason at all.

When an issue came up and customers were in danger, instead of handling it calmly or even apologizing, she escalated the situation and made us feel like we were the problem. It was beyond uncomfortable – we felt unsafe with her attitude. A good waitress knows how to de-escalate, but she had no interest in doing so.

This place has no respect for its customers. I will absolutely never be returning. It’s one thing to have bad service, but to be openly hostile and make your customers feel unwelcome is beyond unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and stay far away...

I had such an amazing time at Ou Quoi! The whole place has such a fun, welcoming vibe and every bartender is great… but oh my, the one with the big black earrings and that tight autumn sweater (grrrr 🔥) absolutely stole the show. The way he carries himself—confident, charming, and totally in his element—made it impossible not to keep sneaking glances. Honestly, he turned ordering a drink into the highlight of my night. Trashy place I didn’t tip because I was 18 years old and was frugal with my money but instead of asking me if the service was poor (which it was fine), they basically guilt me into tipping them and made me feel bad for not tipping. The server was probably in his late 20s or 30s and I was a kid basically was very unprofessional.
