Place is definately 5 star potential and barely inches from it's reach!
The fantastic eats produced by Chef Richard in their kitchen coupled with their weekly Sunday afternoon / evening Karaoke event which includes the staff, host and clientèle that participate definately bring this historic establishment to an easy 4.5 **'s.
If I was to suggest an idea or two that imo would, without argument leap frog their rating to a solid 5 *'s +, I would suggest adding at least one other Karaoke or similar -type event to their weekly roster.
Standard weekly operating service hours for their awesome kitchen, and an online or app - type delivery service for those "ugh if I go, I'll order a drink and start having WAY to much fun again" moments ;-) - ( Skip the Dishes and/or Uber Eats would be simple, awesome, swift and convenient! )
And lastly, I would suggest more of an online presence on social media. So many memorable moments with staff and customers happed / happen on any given day or night of the week here. It would be great if the Brasserie could highlight some of these moments and share them more frequently with our community.
It would also be great to communicate information to existing and new customers when changes to the current environment, shedules, events etc. happen, as opposed to having no choice but to learn about developments on your own and presence, if you are not a hardcore, daily or weekly regular customer or related to them or to those who are.
It's also a perfect vehicule to showcase and promote Chef Richard's menu, daily specials, and pictures/presentations etc.
If they could step it up on their social media presence, everyone would have priviledge and easy acces to the same information instead. Which in the end I believe, would just be better overall for everyone from the ground all the way up!
Bonne continuation team...
Read moreI was there for a while tonight playing the VLTs and the bartender, Cynthia was wearing her mask as a chin strap. When advised by another patron (an off-shift bartender) also playing the VLT that she was required to cover her mouth and nose with the mask Cynthia became very incensed. She at one point came over and confronted me...even though I was not the person who complained and said that she suffered from an anxiety disorder and that if I continued to cause problems she would bar me! I played the VLT until my money ran out but would definitely never frequent again a bar that employs people so neglectful of the protection of their clients especially during COVID. Funny thing is I was required to wear a mask and sanitize to enter the bar and when moving anywhere from my machine...I played the jukebox, masked, I entered and left the bathroom masked. Go figure that the bartender who was serving the public and socializing with the patrons at the bar did not feel the...
Read moreGreat spot for karaoke. Lots of participants. If you're from the Ontario side, expect lots of fun french songs. Service could be faster, but it's mostly because the bar tender is also a performer and is well loved by all the regulars. So ya. You may have to wait an extra couple minutes. Julie's great. Thanks for...
