Avoid. We had reserved a week in advance but they lost the reservation first thing we were told on arrival. After 20 mins we had to get up to ask the waiter if we could have menus. He brought them to us in a stack and left them on the table. Brought us glasses in a stack and a bottle for us to serve ourselves and place. Then he disappeared for another 15 mins when we had to ask him now if we could order. I wish I could say they were busy but there was only one other family in the restaurant. The one cook was eating at the bar, the other server was on her phone in the kitchen and the main server who couldn’t care less was also too busy on his phone. 4 appetizers never showed up either. The food was decent but the service was abysmal. Almost 2 hours for a meal is ridiculous, it seems they don’t value or want any business. Also, avoid the bathroom, of the two stalls, one was used as storage with a filthy mop and the bathroom was nasty. Spend your money somewhere else where they actually want your business.
Also just saw that the waiter charged us for the same plate twice. On separate bills. Absolutely ridiculous, if you can’t remember an order, write it down, what a...
Read moreTo be honest, I expected a more lively atmosphere at the Peruvian restaurant. They were also seemingly understaffed because there was only one person who served all tables, and so, sadly, the service fell short.
The staff didn't take the initiative to go around checking if the customers needed something else after the food had been served. And we kinda had to really get the staff's attention a few times in order to ask for more water or sauces.
I came as a group of four people with my husband and friends. I had ordered the Poke Bowl Achevicado (Rice, salad, and fish cuts), and my husband had the Traditional Ceviche.
I waited long for mine to arrive, and it did arrive last. Unfortunately, the taste didn't impress me much. It felt like it wasn't enough fish cuts and not well marinated. So, it turned out bland. I had to order some additional calamari just so I could finish my rice with it. Even my husband's ceviche, which is supposed to be their specialty, was just okay.
On the other hand, our friends got Pollo a la brasa (roasted chicken) and a Jalea (seafood platter). Theirs were surprisingly quite good. If I ever come back, I will definitely order...
Read moreI wouldnt recommend this place anymore. Not only the fact that the food was not good at all. It seemed to me that the dishes are kept for many days on the fridge and it is also bad for your health. I got disappointed of the last 3 times in the last and this year. The service and the quality of the food are really bad. Two of my experiences the famous Roasted Chicken had not being fully cooked and had hair on it so when we asked to be changed they just put it into the microwave or oven so even the hair came back!! Second time we asked for Papa a la huancaina and it was not good, the Salsa was old and it didn't have a good taste at all. Third time (one year later)again the Pollo a la Brasa had a funny smell which could be from being old or even expired who knows? but any cook would noticed right away before serving or cooking it into a restaurant!! It's really sad because when we talk about Peruvian food it comes to been known for its wonderful flavours and taste this restaurant doesn't represent it anymore and I'm...
