I’m really disappointed in this place. We just moved to the area and were in search of a good Chinese place which can be difficult for myself because I’m a vegetarian and most Chinese places end up giving me vegetarian dishes with bits of meat in it. I’ve pretty much given up on Chinese entirely but my husband talked me into it. My husband went and asked a lot of questions and because one specific fried noodle dish I love is called something different at every Chinese restaurant, he spoke to the owners about the fried noodle dish and told them it was fried chow mein with soy sauce, sprouts and green onion and nothing else. They told him they knew what he meant and so he ordered that with veggie fried rice for me and some meat dishes for himself. When I ate mine, I saw various different kinds of meat in my rice, some dark, some white, etc. At first he thought maybe it was just pieces of cooked mushroom but when we found a big piece of chicken, he was very very disappointed. Also, the noodle dish was completely different than what he described to them. They gave us something called Vegetable Cantonese with a clear sauce and loaded with veggies on top. Based on the meat in the veggie rice though we will likely never go back to this place.
I really suggest they use separate cookware for vegetable dishes to prevent cross-contamination as some people are allergic to meat or have an aversion to it like myself because I’m pregnant, it can be serious to accidentally get meat in a dish that should be strictly vegetarian, and also include photos of the food in-store or online to prevent customers from having to describe what they want and risk getting the wrong dish. My husband said there wasn’t a single photo of their dishes anywhere which made it very difficult to know what we...
Read moreCalled in advance, they said to come in 40 minutes, which is already a pretty long waiting time (most other Chinese takeout takes only about 15-20 min), then I arrive there just to wait another 20 minutes, figuring out they only start cooking your order once you show up. So what even is the initial waiting time for ? And 1 hour overall for takeout is just unacceptable. There’s many other Chinese takeouts to chose from, stay away...
Read moreThe food is always hot, fresh and the portions are very large compared to most Chinese takeout restaurants. The problem is the service. If they are too busy they don’t even bother answering the telephone. I called for over two hours tonight and they’ve still not answered. I have been eating here for years and have never ordered under $65 of food. If Chantal the blond lady isn’t there, don’t expect much as far as...
