Club Pigale — Restaurant in Gatineau

Extremely rude, disrespectful and arrogant staff. We entered, were sent downstairs to be charged $15 per person for entry and I noticed the guy kept on adding money to the tip jar. When I questioned him he apologized and gave us the change back and said it was $10 entry fee. When we got upstairs, the french speaking guy demanded for tip from each of us or we were not getting in! (HE STOOD AND BLOCKED THE PATH). this place was never like this so either there's new management or something fishy is going inside this Club. Secondly we all ordered beers, diet cokes and etc and the older looking server kept on coming and saying "Hurry up and keep drinking, you need to be ordering every 10-15min and can't hold onto the beers for all night!". I told her that we've been ordering from her and one other server and she's not paying attention. She said okay but we got house rules so hurry up drink and order! Not only this is against smart serve rules but the scam, pressure of drinking more and unwanted service is completely new here! The city of Gatineau should really look into this place and find out what's going on & why is this being runned this way. WORST EXPERIENCE AND...

On Friday April 29 my friends and I came to Pigale around 11PM. We didn't know the club had a dress code but were told by a man who said he is doorman manager that our pants would only be allowed if we paid him $20 each to come in. We already paid our cover charge. Our pants were casual pants but he said they were sweats and repeated that for me and my friends, the cost to come in was another $20 EACH.

We are Africans and notice from the door that there were white people with pants like ours already in the club. I'm writing this because a similar incident happened to us last summer when we wear shorts. It is clear your security manager doesn't like black people (he was large bald man). We are sure he is the one we deal with last year also.

We are upset and disappointed and want people to know how Club Pigale staff, manager and owner treat People of Colour. We are looking at further action for this.

Had a blast at Cabaret Pigale for a bachelor party over the weekend.

Doorman was nice and friendly (does ask for tip). Fun atmosphere with just enough tables to sit.

We had a lounge with sliding doors($80) and it was fun to have the gang in there along with bottle service. Appreciate the waitress for not being pushy for more drinks, thank you 🙏 Thanks porsche and electra for the entertainment!

Good variety of shows and dancers. I think there was over 25 dancers that night. The dancers had funny acts with the bachelor.
