La Fiesta — Restaurant in Gatineau

The food we received was good, but the kitchen completely forgot us.

We were admitted at noon, the waiters didn't get to us until 12:40, i would count this with being busy, but a group came in at 12:20, and were asked what they wanted to order around 12:30, before they got to us at 12:40. Then, that same group of people, got their food around 1, were finished eating around 1:20-1:30, left, and we still had not been served at all, other than the drinks from the first 10 minutes. One of us had to go ask what was going on with our food twice, the second time at 1:45, telling them we were just going to walk out and leave a scathing review before they rushed to serve us, we didn't get our food until 2pm.

2 full hours to wait before we got our food is ridiculous, this might have been an off day for them because its mothers day, but thats...

Perfect eggs Benedict 😍 been here quite a few times with my boyfriend. Both of us love the food. Only complaint is that sometimes it takes quite awhile to be acknowledged when you come in. Today for example the lady at the front counter was flirting up a storm with a man and totally ignored us. So we stood there waiting and there is no way she didn't see us. Another couple came in behind us and commented about it as well. We did not get seated until a waitress who was walking past with her arms full of plates saw us and greeted us right away. Even if you are busy it is very easy to make eye contact and acknowledge a customer. This is very important to me! Beyond that I have no complaints. Food is good and the servers are friendly...

Reserved for 11. Took 15 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us, so we could be sent to the back to wait for another server to seat us. Still waiting for my food after 1h20 minutes. They ran out of glasses, so they could not serve water. Ended up with a kid glass 15 minutes later. Later asked for a water refill, after 30 minutes I went to the counter to ask for water myself. Kitchen is slow, but server does not check up on the table either, and when she does she only checks in on one side of the table, and ignores our call. After a while she said the food was coming soon, we asked 30 minutes later and she said there were still a few tables in front of us. So the food was not 'coming soon' 30...
