Mon Resto — Restaurant in Gatineau

Not sure about lunch and dinner services, but breakfast is the bomb! Excellent bilingual service, people know their products, place is super clean, every table has all the condiments on the table especially the welcome caramel spread was a real treat. Portion was on par with today’s average restaurant and the food was properly cooked as requested - especially the eggs. Home potatoes are deliciously seasoned. The sausages are the best I have ever had in North America and we not small, they were large and there were three sausages. I asked for well done and I think they may have deep fried them which is the best way to ensure an evenly cooked crisp sausage and these were excellent. The bacon was cooked properly, not overly crisp and not too soft so you had a good mouthfeel and chew. Toast was nicely buttered as requested (however it was a little odd that they did not slice the toast). Coffee was good, not great, but the decaf coffee was very good and much better taste than the regular which is not the norm. Our experience at Mon Resto was a disgusting showing of customer service. We had not sat down yet when an old lady server with glasses and who worked the morning of Sunday August 20. We were 2 person asked for a bigger table and were told "We might have to remove 1 table in the middle of breakfast, there were 4 other tables at the time not busy at all. Never in my 62 years have I ever been so insulted that they may have to remove 1 table in the middle of my breakfast. We walked out and this was our 3rd nor 4th time there with multiple problems with the same server. Un incontournable en matière de Déjeuner/Brunch/Dîner dans la région de l'Outaouais. Assiettes toujours généreuses, les patates déjeuner maison sont sûrement les meilleures en ville. Les prix sont très honnêtes meme après la pandémie. J'adore arrêter quand j'ai le temps de me gâter le matin! Le service est très familial, on se sent toujours bien reçu. La bouffe est toujours excellente. Ça fait plus de 10 ans que je suis un régulier de la place et honnêtement, je n'ai jamais été décu!
