Moca Loca Café Co — Restaurant in Gatineau

I had heard good reviews from my friends who go to Cegep about the Café, but up until a couple of weeks ago I didn’t get to go myself. I went on a wimp on a night where I had a rather awkward amount of time on my hands after work. I grabbed dinner and was shocked at the quantity of choices the place had to offer. Between Rolls, Breakfast and Lunch sandwiches, soup and others, deserts of all sorts and pastries, not even including drinks there was more than enough room for choice. Don't come to this moca's. The staff (kids) are so slow, they won't serve you properly. And the place was not even busy. The staff is just socializing, laughing and paying no attention to the customers.

No wonder why they're going out of business. Terrible service, limited options. The only good thing is their drink menu. Also the girl burnt my panini because she was too distracted so I just asked for one not toasted because I waited long enough.

Une amie à moi m’a dit qu’elle est allée là-bas pour la première fois depuis quelques mois et qu’on lui a refusé la Politique d’exactitude des prix! Le prix pour le pain au bananes était affiché à 2,75$ et quand elle est arrivée à la caisse, on lui a demandé de payer 3,75$. Elle a énoncé clairement l’exactitude des prix en disant qu’elle devrait légalement recevoir son pain aux bananes gratuitement. La caissière est partie chercher une autre employée qui lui a ensuite dit qu’il était impossible de changer le prix… alors que ça devrait tout simplement être gratuit! On lui a dit que c’est parce que maintenant, il y a des pépites de chocolat dans le pain aux bananes? Mon amie se sentait tellement mal de s’affirmer qu’elle tremblait. Ça n’aidait pas que les employés la regardaient d’un regard noir et qu’il y avait une file en arrière. Elle est partie en payant la totale. Elle a passé la journée avec une boule au ventre, mais personnellement, je suis persuadée qu’elle a eut raison de s’affirmer.
