Resto-Bar La Drave — Restaurant in Gatineau

Be very careful when you eat here. Or even better, find another place to eat.

İn any case, check your bill very carefully. They charged us over 100 CAD for food we did not order (on a 300 CAD bill).

Three weeks later, after three calls they still haven’t refunded me the 300 CAD they owe me.

What happened:

We initially paid for a bill that was over 100 CAD too high. When I realised this I returned to have this corrected, immediately.

The waiter presented a correct new bill that I paid after he assured me he already credited the old bill fully to my credit card (300 CAD).

Unfortunately, this was not the case.

It’s more than five weeks and three phone calls to the bar later but according to my bank they still haven’t credited the old bill.

Apparently, they just don’t care.

Turns out having a burger/pizza and a beer at this place will cost you about a 100...

Went for a late lunch on a weekday and the service left a lot to be desired. The bartender was busy chatting it up with men hanging out at the bar. We went and sat at the patio where it took a very long time to be greeted or given menus. We were being attacked by wasps and forgotten about with napkins, drink fill-ups, etc.

Went in to get drinks and got our own napkins. Also had ribs and no wet-naps given, found them myself. Went to the bathroom and it smelt super bad and had loads of poop 💩 in the toilet. The place looked dirty and dingy and dark.

The food portions were good and tasty. It's our second or third time eating here and the food is always good along with the portion size but the rest can use much improvement. Would I recommend, probably not because of the dinginess and lack of...

My sister and I went for lunch with our kids thinking its a restaurant with a bar side since its called a resto/bar (it looked as such inside) and were denied entry basically escorted out because we brought our children in, it was very embarrassing, insulting and degrading. Now looking at the reviews they have many pictures with children in this "resto"- bar.. so maybe it's because we don't speak French, I'm not sure but I will never return here and dont recommend. We were happily accepted in a resto bar at the mall called Shaker...
