Run run run for hour life, abusive ill mannered staff, used to visit before covid in spite of below average food but proximity was key, as we lived 3 minutes away on foot. The only good thing was the service (before 2020) but afterwards they changed their staff and though they seemed understaffed then the person who served us did a good job. Afterwards we were mistreated by the least to say impolite staff who left us standing for 35 minutes while half the restaurant was empty and then when we walked to them and asked very politely to be seated they rudely adrssed us as if they were doing us a favor and decided to split our party of 6 who included an autistic child and an elderly grandmother onto two tables, and before we even opened our mouth to politely ask to be seated at a larger table which was right next to the too suggested tables the rude individual looked at me like with chauvinist grim and said using slurs to say take it or leave it, never have I ever har such rude treatment as a paying customer, we frequently visited and paid at least 250 to 350$ per visit yet they clearly don't care for our business and we will never set foot there ever again we went and had us an amazing family meal at a restaurant where owners and staff respect themselves and their clients. If I could gove them zero stars I would be generous because they don't deserve to be in business with an attitude like this. I RECOMMEND THAT YOU FIND ANOTHER PLACE and there are...

This is the sort of family fare restaurant I look for, that is fast disappearing from the landscape under the avalanche of corporate-owned chains everywhere. The food is made right in the back and is honest middle-of-the-road diner fare. The meat, I was told late one night by one of the friendly staff who was just chatting and not trying to b.s. me, comes from a butcher shop -- she was proud of that. They don't give it away, nor should they, but prices are in line with most restaurants in the Ottawa-Gatineau region, and on the moderate side; they are often packed, and there's a reason for that. They're open all night (in the summer anyway), which is handy if you are a night owl or party or work late. If you're looking for a good club sandwich with insanely delicious made-right-there fries -- and they will even allow you to share, for a small fee, if that big plate of food is too much for you alone -- or their own pizza, or a good hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and onion gravy (I'd better stop, I am making myself hungry), and some good salads and other trendier foods -- among many other diner delights on the menu too numerous to mention -- and they even have an all-day breakfast now, much to my delight -- this is the place. You can pay the same for smaller, snootier gastronomic portions in any number of Ottawa restaurants, but if you want an unpretentious, honest plate of food,...

Despite the name, they do not have a patio.

Location: right on Greber (a main street), easy to find and easy to access the parking lot and front entrance.

Parking: a decent sized parking lot in front with plenty of parking for the size of the restaurant.

Accessibility: it’s accessible by wheelchair and the washrooms are also wheelchair accessible.

Ambience / aesthetic: it’s a typical diner. It’s clean and in reasonable shape, but there are no frills. The restaurant is clearly delivering food, not an experience.

Service: the staff are very friendly, and very relaxed. Almost too relaxed, if I may be honest. I get the sense that the restaurant mostly caters to local regular customers. There’s no host/hostess to meet you at the door, and you’re expected to seat yourself, even though there’s no sign stating that. When I was there at 13h00 on a Thursday, they were not at all busy, but the servers only came around every 20-25 minutes, which I don’t consider very much. I want to clarify, the staff are kind, but the establishment feels very laissez-faire.

Drink: I had coffee and it was fine.

Food: I had the “Greber Poutine” and it came with lots of meat and lots of gravy. It was decent and the price was very reasonable.

Washroom: there are single stall male and female washrooms with baby change tables available. The male washroom was relatively clean and everything...

I ordered (online) the poutine with pulled pork and requested bbq sauce. They gave me gravy sauce on the side which didn't taste great. I really dislike plan pulled pork, that bbq sauce would have helped with flavor tremendously! I think they need to reconsider changing the flavor of this meal with a sweet bbq sauce and some Sriracha for that bit of spice. (I added my own sirarcha) I also ordered the carrot cheese cake and I have zero complaints about this delicious dessert... but that won't be enough to keep me ordering from this restaurant.

This reataurant was not the best in terms of it's breakfast menu. I had gotten a crepe and a french toast with loaded fruit on top, and the toast had camr so gouppy it seemed halfway to a bread pudding, the fruits were somewhat fresh and the chocolate sauce was the highly processed sugar kind. It was ok because the service was good and the area was clean. If you decide to go here, do not have high expectations.
