After 2 sips, I poured my $11 worth of coffee down the drain. The service was... service... It wasn't good, it wasn't bad, it was just "as expected" if that makes sense, and I have no complaints there. But, I wasn't there for service, I was there for a coffee. I ordered an Americano and a flat white. Both were way too hot to drink and sucked to carry to my table because of this. However, once I was able to take a sip, it tasted like garbage. Way too watery. My wife also said the Americano was also bad, and she often drinks vending machine coffee when she's at work. Very weak coffee taste and the taste that was there, was gross. After carrying two very hot coffees around for a good 10 minutes, and only taking two very small tasting sips of each, I ended up pouring them down the drain at the nearest water fountain. My condolences to the fishes that have to swim in that water...
Read moreI have very mixed feelings about this cafe. We visited it several times over the years, mainly to grab coffee which is always very good. This weekend, we stopped by to grab something to eat. I got a 3 Cheese Melt sandwich, and my wife got a Ham & Cheese Melt. The both sandwiches were pretty good. But our daughter got a Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Bagel which was simply awful. I’m not sure if the ingredients were bad or the sandwich was not made right, but whatever it was, it was impossible to eat. Also, she got a Sour Candy Seltzer which was pure liquid sugar. Since my city doesn’t have a Second Cup, I always make it a point to order my favorite item (frozen hot chocolate) whenever I come across one. The service at this location was excellent, but the only downside is that no seating is available in the coffee shop. However, it’s not difficult to find seating elsewhere...
