Location on Greber, Gatineau Everytime we have been there for breakfast, it has been cold, bacon overcooked and overcooked sausages that looked like they were sitting there for hours. We usually go around 11:00 am 11:30 however if they are still serving breakfast, it should be fresh right? We got the same waitress that we have gotten in the past. She is about in her late 40's with dark brown hair. I have heard her cursing on many occasions about her customers and the lack of tip that they gave or whatever she was upset about. We have been to that location on greber a few times since my elderly mother lives across the street in a retirement home. We arrived this morning expecting the same bad breakfast we have had there but my mother wanted to go. Our bill was $52. Something cents.my mother who has dementia told her to keep $2.50 for herself not realizing the 15% tip until it was mentioned after by us. The waitress stood up said: " your only giving me $2.50?? Throws my moms $5 bill on the table and takes off cursing saying: " Esti de 15% de collisse. Not realizing that we are also French and can understand everything she said. Let me remind you it's not the first time our breakfast was cold and horrible but our waitress was too.I am appaled with her behavior and made my mom feel horrible. I am beyond upset at this waitress and the lack of freshness of food they serve.
I will never recommend anyone to go to that specific location. I can't speak for...
Read moreBonjour,
I recently bought a delicious sauce at bon ami market in l'isle-verse Quebec; we purchased 3 Jars. Time for supper and ready to warm up the sauce, I quickly realized that our family wouldn't eat Spaghetti as I couldn't open the jars... you guys must be magician;) or too bright for me and my family :) (I hope you can feel the sense of humour :)) The Jar cover is turning like the thread is infinitely small, everything that I do makes me think that I am getting closer to opening that jar. Now, after hitting it with a butter knife, poring hot Water for 5 minutes on the cap, pushing as safely as possible while turning hoping that it won’t break on me. After this beautiful roller coaster of emotions, with the hope of eating your awesome sauce, we decided to, perhaps, to go visit the Riviere du Loup Mikes restaurant. BUT. not over yet. we stopped at Walmart on the way back, and I decided to buy two more over there, but you can be sure I tried them before I exited the store. -Guess what, one of the 2 opened... I was so happy that I ran to my car and dreamt about the evening coming. my wife was excited as well.
We decided to keep a shelf for those jars in the kitchen, even though maybe one day they will be worth something, we are at four so far, and our collection is going well, but I don't think I will collect this for much longer. Maybe, perhaps, there are a few out there!!!
I hope you laughed!!! We are not asking for a refund Thank...
Read moreWill not be back. We had a few adults and a child. Adult food was fine, child's was very disappointing. We have liked going here in the past but we have noticed the quality dropping. The child's meal came with significantly less than the quantity or quality of fruit it used to. 1/3 of a banana that was prepped so early all of it was brown. But the food took about 50 minutes, so maybe it was prepped when we ordered. So the kiddo didn't eat any of his favorite fruit. I did ask if there was strawberry too, kid likes them and they were in the photo. The waitress laughed (I guess silly question) and said the restaurant has no strawberries and "you can't expect food that comes to look like the photo." The kids menu also doesn't say that they can't order non breakfast items before 11...ok we picked something else..... but by the time we got our food it was after that time........ if it was an easier meal I wouldn't mention it, but it was a 2$ extra charge for 2 tbs of table syrup for the kids pancake. All in all, it's not worth it. If we eat with the kids, I'll take them to a more family friendly place. If it's just adults, I'm going somewhere with better...
