Today I felt mistreated for the first time here. And just to let everyone know, if you’d like to make a complaint about any issues, there is literally no way of it at this location. Just give up!
At first, cashier did not inform me that I will need to exchange the paid cardboard gift card for paper voucher at a different service desk. So I went home with the unless cardboard and noticed it myself while trying to register online. I called right away when I realized that there’s something wrong, it’s not the right process for gift vouchers. Someone on the phone advised me to go back right away so they can help me to claim my gift vouchers.
Drove back to Costco from home to make up to it, only to go there for someone to tell me go home. I was being told by a different person to fill out a paper and they’ll let me know how it goes in two weeks. Side note: the gift vouchers expires in less than two weeks.
A manger had to step in to solve the issue. Manger checked the videotape which happened half hour ago and apologized to me on behalf on the cashier who made the mistake to ignore me with my purchase at the beginning. The manager then admitted it was their fault, every customer should have been informed at the cash, and the cashier should have talked to every customer who purchased gift vouchers the ways of claiming it, which is to go to a different registry.
Second of all, their were two cashiers just chatting, and throwing everything inside the cart instead of the box I got. Not helping with packing at all. So I had to pack everything myself while they were obviously minding their own business. That distracted me from checking if everything was correct.
I wanted to make a complaint, and the manger told me if there’s anything, just tell him, there will be no other ways of complaining, no case will be created, no follow up with customers and all matters will be disclosed. Talking to the manger of what happened was the only way to make a complaint at this location. I understand that he’s trying to protect his employees and the manger did take responsibilities for his employees to apologize. But with all of the back and forth, my request is just a simple apology from the person who made the mistake instead of a manger doing it. I really appreciate the manger who stepped in and fixed the issues for me real quick, but there are some other employees here need to be trained better. I questioned if they really have a policy and procedure for all Costco employees as they’re telling me different things and clearly not following the rules.

I honestly must be missing something about Costco in general- the website is horrific (not the fault of this location) and I don't see the massive deals that everyone speaks about. This particular location has minimal dairy and fresh produce available and it's always poor quality. We got a membership in 2020 when we bought a house nearby. We've used it to buy meat and the big bags of buns and that's about it. I've been in the store 8 times in the past 2 years and today was the last time. My membership expires in a few weeks and won't be renewed.
After searching on the website the past 2 weeks attempting to find the price of baby formula and having ZERO RESULTS appear on the website, I went in person. My experience today:. As I walked past the garage with my baby (carseat) in a cart, one of the doors was open and a tire was rolling towards it but hit the side of the wall immediately beside the door. If they were playing a game in there it was pretty risky to do that as it would've hit us or rolled right into the parking lot to hit someone else. Next, I went directly to the pharmacy where the diapers are to look for formula and there is not one single can or box or bottle of any kind of formula. Any other store has all the baby products together - but not this store. Next, a woman with a full cart raised her voice and tried to lecture me-a woman with a baby- because she was blocked for literally 2 seconds inadvertently as I was turning the cart around the corner. I just ignored her and kept going. I walked down every single aisle and not ONE tin of formula in any format. How is this even possible???? ...
Read moreI went to get information about Costco card, I wanted to know if they had family plan cards. Overall the associates mentioned to us they do not offer family plans, the cards need to be listed under the same address which is fine I completely understand.
The associates were very pushy and insitant into me and my spouse both getting our own card even though we I reside at the same address. I rarely go to the city and avoid it at all cost, I explained how in my case I do not find it beneficial to purchase this card. As I do not live in the city nor work in the city, how it is a not at all on my commute for me to come to Costco. And quite time consuming.
One of the associates were very rude and said " my goodness we have clients who drive 2h to shop here" , " you can make time" ... which I found a bit out of place on his tone of voice as the other associate said " She's against Costco"... Which was unnecessary..and not the case. I mentioned to them the reason why in my case I would not purchase the card, which I was polite, I mentioned that it would be beneficial for my spouse as he works in the city and is at the promenades 3-4 days a week for the gym whereas he could purchase the card and stop by Costco before or after the gym. Overall I for sure will not be purchasing a Costco card, the associates were very pushy and imposing and rude. Not a good way to get business nor professional...
