Tim Hortons — Restaurant in Goderich

I visited this Tim Horton only once about a year ago and it will likely be my last, even though I live close. It is a long story involving a senior female staff member and being told a coin that dropped from my purse at the take-out window was theirs not mine!. The following day I made a report to the manager who apologized but didn't even offer to reimburse my money. He mentioned that they had problems with homeless people scooping dropped coins. I would have expected Tim's to be more charitable and able to handle this loss! I lost a toonie but, they have lost numerous customers who have heard my story. My only retribution is to continue to share details of my experience and give Tim card to those less fortunate in the area. Typically I have had good experiences at Tim's but this incident is one I can't erase from my mind! I feel it was beyond appalling and certainly not worthy...

Today, I had to take my husband to the hospital for a suspected appendix attack. As I couldn’t be in with him, I went to this Timmies to get a warm cafe mocha while I waited in the car. I heard the staff talking to a customer who was angry at them for because he spilled coffee on himself (really, who hasn’t had a loose lid? It happens) The staff handled it well.

This was Thanksgiving Sunday when everyone else gets to spend their time safe at home and enjoying what little Thanksgiving we can have this year.

So I wanted to give MY review and tell the staff thank you, and you’re doing a great job, and it may only seem like a small thing but your absolutely rocking cafe mocha is keeping me cozy and warm on what could be a long night and a strange Thanksgiving to remember. Staff here shows how much they do not care with their attitude and lack of quality service. The other Tim Horton's in town is owned by the same owner and you get the same bad service that is usually just the high school kids that do not care about your order. Often out of items, often because the workers did not stay on top of what was made because they were too busy talking.

The review I read before I wrote this tries to say they do well and mistakes happen... but they happen all too much for the local Tims in Goderich.
