East Side Mario's — Restaurant in Grand Lake Road

Waited a bit for the kids drinks they were done their food well after they got their drinks. They said it was very busy is why we waited. They sent out the kids food first and they were done before we even got ours. 15/20 minutes later which I find weird. As it's better off with people that have children eat all at once so they don't have to have kids board at the dinner table. That's just me maybe other parents are different. Ask for parmesan cheese for the spaghetti and meatballs and I was pretty well done when they came around with it. Also ordered wings mild there was a few drops of mild sauce. Also ask for a booth and a high chair but they said they did not do boots with high chairs as they do not want to take food or dishes over that child's head. Which is understandable. We sat in an open table. With the high chair and they did four times bring food over my child's head so defeats the purpose of the whole booths and high chair policy. We did speak to the manager as we had good experience every time we went there and he made it right. The only reason why I'm putting this up here cuz it's an honest review and I left there satisfied. My daughters and their friend had a wonderful time at East Side Mario's Sydney location. They found the service and food was amazing. After leaving, one of my daughters realized she lost her ring while in the restaurant. I returned to the restaurant with her and was met by very friendly staff. When I explained that she lost her ring and it may have gotten scooped up with her napkin at the table, they were genuinely concerned and wanted to be helpful. He explained that it would take some time, but they would look through the trash for the ring. Hours went by and we received a call that the ring was found. Can you imagine the staff going through the trash in a busy restaurant to find a lost ring. It would be like finding a needle in a haystack. I am sure it would be easy to say "sorry, I am sure it would not be found" etc, but they actually looked for the lost ring, gave us a call and gave back the ring! Besides the great service received, my daughters enjoyed the meal a lot, the staff went out of their way to find a lost ring that has a great deal of sentimental value. Today was the first time in my life I did not leave a tip for the server. Not only did she forget our starter, she forgot to take our order until 20 minits in. She never came back to ask if we needed water, did not refill bread,salad or soup for any of our party. She cut the first guest at our table off mid order assuming she was finished, did not ask if she wanted soup or salad or what kind. Attempted to charge us extra than what was listed on the menue. Brought the bill before we were finished eating and had already clicked a tip percentage when she passed us the machine. She was unattentive and when she did check in she was rude. I also had to wait longer than the rest of my party for a drink. Food was good but the only person who has any sense is the hostest. She was friendly, helpful and actually good at her job. Very...
