The food here is fantastic. You can find many Authentic Dishes here. My favorite is Jjajangmyeon which is Black Bean Noodle. It is hard to find a restaurant that makes good Jjajangmyeon in Canada, but this place is the one! Bibibub is my togo if I want to have rice. The smell of the burnt rice on the hot sizzling stone bowl just makes the dish perfect. My wife loves Sundubu-jjigae if you want some refreshing soup that goes so well with rice. I mean, we have tried many Korean restaurants in Edmonton, and this place is on top of our list!

Kimchi was not too salty like so many reviews say… they clearly haven’t had authentic Korean kimchi. It was one of the best I’ve ever had. The service was great, too. It reminded us of a family vibe with a mom who wants you to enjoy the food and is proud of what she’s offering you. A lot of GP people won’t like that, no, because their idea of a cultural experience is taco time or Thai express. I can’t speak to how the staff is treated, but they seemed welcoming, and we were happy to leave a tip. We will definitely be back.

Awesome start to finish. The restaurant is clean, spacious and modern. Staff are attentive and welcoming. Our food was top notch. My son ate ALL his lunch… and he is the MOST picky 9 year old you’ve ever met. The fried items were clean tasting and crisp. Made to order. My bimimbap was delicious!!! Fresh with so many toppings and accompanied by pickled items (kimchee etc). We both had a can of pop with our meal and were checked on to make sure all was well. We will most definitely be back.

I am giving 2 stars because their kimchi was good.

I really want to wanna go back to this place, but a bit traumatized from our first visit. We ordered the Samgyeopsal and the Korean style curry (looked similar to the Japanese one) with pork cutlet.

What a let down of a place, and if their service doesn't improve, this place will most likely close down.

First off the curry. Arrived at our table. Clearly it has been sitting on the pass for a long time. It was cold. Ice cold. It's so cold a film has formed on top of the curry, and the top of the rice is dry.

And then there's my order, Tha samgyeopsal. Which traditionally, it comes as a full set meal with Banchan, kimchi, rice, soup, lettuce and ssamjang. Mine arrived. Lady had put down the hot plate and the metal plate that had onions, kitchen, and the pork belly. I'm confused. So I asked isn't this supposed to come with rice too? Server said she didn't know, she'd ask. Then the rice came. And then I asked again if this is all really that comes with it. I asked the Korean lady where the lettuce is. Because traditionally it's a lettuce wrap meal. So disappointed that if I didn't know what came with it, I would have paid for just the slivers of pork, kimchi and raw onion. I literally had to ask for everything that it's supposed to come with. One item at a time.

We also ordered tteokbokki. That alone shouldn't have taken over half an hour. But it did.

Service: SLOW. The time we spent there is the amount of time we would be spending at Earls or Keg. That slow. It was so slow, we debated on leaving. First off, and the most obvious, they opened without training anybody and everybody. Nobody knew what came with what, other than the Korean lady, which I am assuming is the owner. I don't even understand why it took over an hour for our meals to come. The curry sauce should have already been stewing as part of their prep before the start of their service. And mine, mine literally came with raw ingredients. We were quite literally not committed to be there for almost 3 hours. Just ridiculous.

Atmosphere. Man. It was bright as a hospital in there. It was so bright. Get yellow soft light. It's easier on everyone's eyes, and it would actually make the food look more appealing.

I am really hoping they would improve. I love Korean food. And I actually quite liked their kimchi. If I knew they were going to be this slow. I would have just ordered rice and kimchi because their kimchi is actually pretty good. Would I go back? Oh man, I don't know. If I do, it would be a while. Just to give them time to actually improve. I typically post reviews after I've been to a place multiple times and have tried multiple items on the menu. The service is making me never...

I am only giving one star today as we were not able to eat the food unfortunately. We came in at 621pm and had ordered our food. About 10 mins in our server handed us 1 dish which it was not ours. We continued to wait. We noticed a few more people coming in and some of them we knew and they have been seated. About 30 mins in a different lady comes to our table and asked what we ordered, I then repeated my order and continued to wait (still no drinks). 45 mins in again the same lady came back and once again asked the same question I then at this point repeated my ordered and asked if we can have our drinks at least. We then finally received our drinks and continued to wait. 50 mins in I then noticed our friends table has received their food and we were 10 mins ahead of them. I then finally went to the counter to ask how much longer for our food and they could not give me an answer. As I walked back to our table I noticed another table we were ahead of has received and finished their food. When I noticed that the couple who just walked in got their food first before we did. I drew the line and we walked. 1 hr and 10mins and My 2 year old daughter was super hungry and we could not wait any longer. I heard good things about the food but maybe we will wait when they were...

The older lady staff in this restaurant was extremely rude and pushy with her service, keep interrupting us during the meal and reminding us they’re closing soon( which was 9:34, they closes at 10) and that we need to leave soon. Witch this awful atmosphere of dining time, we decided not to give any tips on top of the bills. To our complete surprise, the older lady who was far outed line during the dine-in experience; run after us after we payed and already gotten into our vehicle, and came pounding on our window and demands for tips😁. She went on for a 5 minute rant to lecture us about our “late” leaving time and our decision on not giving any tips. During her angry lecture, she used some “factors” of that were we’re supposed to leave the restaurant early so she doesn’t have to pay her staff for overtime?? Accompanied with the fact that there’s 2/3 of us that’s not white Canadian so she assumed we don’t understand the idea of “tipping” and strongly highlighted on the point of “because we’re in Canada, so you have to tip”. And after I reminded her that it’s harassment to charge after customer and trying to barge into a car, she then gotten offended and told us to “never come back”👍. Which gladly, we won’t ever. Absolute joke of decency...
