Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Grande Prairie

Extremely trash chicken and trash attitude from the manager. Ordered ghost pepper wings and thighs, specifically asked for it to be made fresh with a new batch even waited 10 mins and what I got was black and burnt chicken. I tried a bit of the wings which has no taste or spice to it and was a big mistake because I had a stomachache and still have it as I'm writing this. I called the store and asked for the manager and he said he was and his name is Okar, he kept talking over me with an arrogant tone and wouldn't even let me finish my sentence and demanded that I had to come back to the store on this same day so he can look at it otherwise he can't do anything because according to him, he was the one who prepared the order he said was fresh. Well he must be delusional then because I have attached photos showing how disgusting, stale, dry and hard the chicken is. I tried to ask him questions but was not successful because he continued to speak loudly and rudely over me and finally hung up on me. I ended up having to drive back wasting gas because I wasn't close to the store. So I wasted my time and money. I'm blacklisting this store. The food was never good before but I thought I would give it a chance to see if it was fresh if I asked them to make a new batch. I'm sure either the chicken was leftovers, refried over and over again or not even fresh to begin with. Stay away from this popeyes if you don't want to get sick from eating bad chicken and treated rudely from the staff. Absolutely disgusting behavior. Now, i like to think i am a popeyes connoisseur, i have been to this establishment several times, there is a lot of things wrong with this place, ill do a nice numbered list for everybody 1- Long waiting times i was sitting in that drive through for 20 minutes just for a 3 piece tender platter, i cant imagine that takes 20 minutes to make. 2- Poor breading quality now i cant really describe it, but the chicken is breaded terribly, there is those weird areas of the chicken where the breading isnt crispy and its just absolutely disgusting and it kinda ruins it for me 3- sub par service the employees arent exactly nice, but they arent rude either. im not expecting them to be super nice, but i want a little bit of friendliness during my stay Now that i have gone over the negatives, i can tell you about the one positive, THE SIDES. i think im in love with the cajun mashed potatoes, they have the perfect creaminess and the gravy really just compliments the already good potatos. the only other sides i have had are the fries and the beans, no complaints about them either In Conclusion, popeyes is not my number 1 choice for chicken in gp, if you want chicken just go to mary browns. problem is, mary browns is halfway across town from...

An absolutely fantastic place to go and wait!

First you get to wait 10-15 minutes for each vehicle ahead of you, and there's cars behind you so you're not backing out. Then you get to wait 10 minutes before you order! Then if you're lucky you get to wait at the window for 10 to 15 minutes! If you're unlucky you get asked to pulled around to the front. Pulling around the front isn't so bad, its super entertaining because you get to watch all the vehicles leave the drivethru with food while you wait anywhere from 15-30 minutes. Then just when you're sick of waiting, they make you wait 5 more minutes then they find the youngest, shyest teenage girl working in the store to bring your food out.

I've had the pleasure of waiting on 3 different occasions now, if you love waiting this is the place for you!

Update: went back again yeas later Got stuck waiting again, asked for mild strips, they didn't have enough, got stuck waiting out front for 20 minutes, got spicy strips instead, they were cold. Like not even remotely warm enough for serving temperatures, and they forgot dipping sauce. This place is a train wreck.
