I stopped by the Frontier on a Friday for supper and found a fairly quiet atmosphere that quickly gave way to a warm, inviting dining experience. Food Starter:* Mama’s Borsch* to start the full order — absolutely delicious. An amazing combination of flavors in my favorite beet soup; it hit all the right notes and set a fantastic tone for the meal. Entrée:* Seafood Fettuccine* loaded with shrimp, mussels, and scallops (larger than golf balls) and full of flavor. Every bite was satisfying and well-balanced. Atmosphere & Entertainment The evening evolved into a karaoke night, which runs on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. The atmosphere was wonderful, with lots of great singers and smiling faces. The karaoke added a lively, communal vibe that kept the energy high. The place stayed packed right until close, with a steady stream of new singers and enthusiastic crowds. The famous MAN and WIFE team noted the influx of new talent, making the night feel fresh and exciting. Service The Frontier staff, especially Penny, were amazing. She kept everyone satisfied and drinks refilled, contributing significantly to the smooth, enjoyable experience. Overall The Frontier Eatery and Saloon offers a great combination of tasty food, engaging nightlife, and a welcoming atmosphere. There are weekly specials for food and drinks, and they even offer hotel specials if you’re too full to drive home, an excellent touch for travellers or locals who want to unwind without worry. I highly recommend checking out their offerings and upcoming specials. A wonderful time is guaranteed every visit.

If you’re in the area and looking for solid comfort food, standout seafood pasta, and a fun karaoke night, Frontier Eatery and Saloon should be at the top...

I've given this restaurant 3 chances... I really hoped for a better experience each time. The first attempt was at the North location. It took forever for a server to attend to us. Once we finally received our drinks we waited again for our server to ask what we wanted to eat. We were told they were out of a bunch of menu options, leaving us with next to no choice in a meal. So we left with just having a drink and ate somewhere else. Our second attempt was at the new location on all you can eat crab night. The crab was super tiny and really difficult to even get meat out of. We tried to get our money's worth anyways and left slightly dissatisfied. 3rd attempt was for wing night. Advertises as 20 for all you can eat wings.. we got there at a decent time and the restaurant was dead.. Maybe 3 tables aside from us. We ordered our first 5 orders ( 2 for me 3 for my husband) when the wings came out they were very small orders, less that a normal order of wings.. and they didn't bring out all the orders ( 4 rather than 5) Our waitress then stated we ran out of wings... so much for all you can eat.. the wings were extremely overcooked, I could hardly chew mine. And the one flavor being s&p, I had flavorless, overcooked naked wings. Our waitress came over eventually, once she sensed our displeasure and offered us dry ribs to make up for it. Though we didn't get charged for the rubs.. we certainly did not get what we came for. Had she told us upfront there were not enough wings we would have declined and went somewhere for what we wanted that night. It was decided we would not...

I read the reviews before I chose to come here, I noticed more good reviews than bad so I gave a chance. When I first walked in I was greeted nicely, me and my boyfriend got to choose our seating as well. They have pool tables randomly in the restaurant, I wasn’t a fan even though I was informed they have people who do tournaments on them. But I feel pool tables randomly in a family restaurant is more meant for a bar or lounge. They have cute decorations though. My boyfriend ordered a steak sandwich and I ordered the haddock and fries. Both foods were phenomenal, I absolutely loved my fish and the spices on his steak were divine. The gravy wasn’t my favourite, my boyfriend didn’t mind it, seemed too thick. I really wish Frontier had more dip options for fries other then gravy and ketchup… Our server was very friendly and made sure everything was to our satisfaction, she was a younger girl with hand tattoos and dark hair. Due to our well tasting food and service I’m happy to say me and my boyfriend will...

Oh my god. I left this place stuffed. All you can eat crab with a steak! First off, we mistakenly ordered appetizers. We had clam chowder, PEI mussels, and the mushroom soup. The mussels were incredible. The others with me said the soups were to die for. They sure looked and smelled delicious. I ordered the crab with 4 oz steak. With my meal came melted butter, and when I asked for lemon, it was brought quickly. The only downside is that the butter cooled too quickly. They definitely need the butter warmers. My crab was perfectly cooked, delicious, and salty. Exquisite! I ate 3 helpings of the crab and left the restaurant completely satisfied and waddling. 😳 My meal also came with veggies and potatoes, but I don't eat either. Two of my dinner mates said they were excellent. The others ordered the 12 oz new York steak and the seafood linguini. Every one of us was extremely happy with the quality of the food and the portions. Excellent service, too! What a meal!

1 star , Because 0 isn't option. Went twice, both times waiting nearly 5 mins to be seated. Walked out the first time, tried again a week later..same thing, but the 2nd time i stuck it out because i really wanted seafood.. finally seated, waited for 20 min and not a soul even looked at me. Didn't even get a menu, found one at the bar, no seafood even on the menu!! At a seafood restaurant...... walked out again and will never be back. I understand it's hard to find workers that this day and age but you're better off to turn people away if you don't have the staff then to just completely ignore them.. oh and the I over heard the bar had no glasses left..so no drinks were going out either.. poor girl behind the bar was not having a good day. 😕 Happily eating at the ol trapper next door as I write this..

I have had high quality seafood in New Brunswick, so it's an up hill climb for Alberta restaurants when ordering seafood. The food was good and I would still recommend the Frontier. There was a satisfying amount of food on the plate. I had the fish and chips. It was haddock and that's a good thing. The batter wasn't as good as back home. My wife had fish and clams. The clam dish comes with seafood sauce. Seafood sauce pairs well with shrimp, not so well with clams. I recommend ordering tartar sauce if you get the clams. Also it's not whole clams, but they are still very tasty. I would consider ordering the clams the next time I go.
