Tokyo Sushi Sudbury — Restaurant in Greater Sudbury

Was so excited to hear a new sushi place opened in Sudbury but even more excited to see I could get kimbap there since I haven't had it since I was in Korea over ten years ago. The kimbap was delicious and nostalgic for me. The little restaurant has such a warm family feeling and I can't wait to see more people come in. The staff were so enthusiastic to have patrons and thanked me for my support (which is humbling as I'm just sitting here stuffing my face.)

I decided to also try the honeymoon roll and the crazy dynamite roll since I'd never tried those rolls assembled in that way and I was so happy that I did.

The honeymoon roll has an adorable appearance and this kind of cute sweetness. The flavours all mingled so well on this light and cool little roll. It made me think of young love. Very nice.

The crazy dynamite roll is a deep fried powerhouse of a roll with heat and spice locked inside the deep fried layer of very lightly applied batter. It was perfectly done in my opinion and packed a pleasant, almost mischievous punch.

I feel I picked polar opposites in terms of rolls for sure but they were so fantastic all the same. It was a wonderful eating experience.

I look forward to coming back, Tokyo Sushi! 5 stars!

Really quick edit: it would only let me recommend two of my dishes but I highly recommend the honeymoon roll as well!!!

Tokyo Sushi in Sudbury completely blew me away! Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, full of flavour and beautifully presented.

The Crabby Dynamic Roll deserves a huge shoutout – whoever created this roll is truly a genius! It’s such a creative combination of flavours, yet so well-balanced and incredibly delicious. It’s bold, rich and absolutely unforgettable. A must-try!!!

The Chicken Karaage came in a very generous portion. Super crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside. Such great value and so satisfying.

The Hwe Dup Bap was another standout. The sashimi was unbelievably fresh and the special sauce that you mix into the rice tied everything together beautifully. It was light, refreshing and packed with flavour in every bite.

The Beef Yaki Udon was comfort food done right. You could taste the fire in the wok and that slightly smoky flavour added so much depth. The noodles were perfectly chewy and the beef was tender and savoury.

Service was super friendly and fast. And the restaurant is very clean and cozy. Tokyo Sushi is definitely a go-to spot in Sudbury for quality, creative Japanese food. I can’t wait...
