Formal Feedback / Complaint:
I visited your restaurant recently and was disappointed by several issues that made the experience uncomfortable and concerning.
First, I waited over ten minutes for a simple kids’ meal, despite the restaurant not being busy. The delay felt unnecessary and left me questioning the efficiency of service. The fries were soggy and cold but the chicken nuggets were too hot to even handle for almost ten minutes.
Second, the restaurant was extremely hot — not just warm, but uncomfortably so. This seems to be a recurring issue and creates a poor dining atmosphere, especially for children and older guests.
More concerningly, I observed staff moving between the cash register and food preparation areas without washing their hands or wearing gloves. This is a serious health and safety concern, especially in a food service environment. Cross-contamination is not only unprofessional but can be dangerous, particularly for customers with food sensitivities or compromised immune systems.
Finally — and most significantly — the accessible door was turned off and not in use. This is not a minor oversight. It is an act of exclusion. Accessibility features exist to ensure equitable access for all customers, including people who use mobility aids, parents with strollers, or anyone unable to open a heavy manual door. Choosing to disable or neglect these features sends a clear message that the needs of disabled patrons are not being considered or prioritized. That is a form of ableism — whether intentional or not — and it is deeply disappointing to encounter in a public business.
I hope you take these concerns seriously and make the necessary changes to ensure your space is safe, inclusive, and respectful to all members of...
Read moreI’m an American so maybe they do things differently in Canada but here’s my two cents.
I’ve been to this location 3 times in the 5 months I’ve been staying here. First time in our order was adequate. Just what we wanted. Wasn’t wowed with ‘service’ or ‘atmosphere’ but it’s fast food and I’m not expecting much.
Second time our order was wrong. They forgot the onion rings. It’s okay. I’ve worked fast food before and the person was clearly new. We drive back with receipt. Get our onion rings after exchanging our fries. Our food is cold at home but I can let it go.
Third time, our order was wrong again. This time it’s no cheese on our burgers. This might be out of pocket but I love cheese. I haven’t uttered the word hamburger since I worked fast food myself. Just typing it makes me feel icky because who eats a burger without cheese unless you lactose. Even the lactose folk usually love cheese. After a 10 minute drive we show up again for our cheese. Order was rung up wrong so now we have to pay for the cheese that they forgot. Boyfriend runs out to car to get change because he didn’t bring wallet. It’s almost 2 dollars for cheese. Feels bad man. Our orders get remade right after returning the burgers. I’m starving. Vibes from the person talking to me were off. I feel like he thought I was lying about ordering cheeseburgers originally. Usually (America) fastfood places that charge you 20 dollars for two meals give you a small treat for being patient. Not this location.
Overall; 2 out of the 3 times I’ve been here I’ve had issues with order takers/baggers. I’ve been to other Harvey’s in Burlington and we never have communication problems. This location’s food is delicious but if they get your order wrong don’t...
Read moreThis has always been an extremely slow drive thru but I had a particularly horrendous experience here recently. I had two cars in front of me and still waited 18 minutes in the drive thru for two burgers. When I got to the window, the person handed me the bag and said “two burgers” and I said yes and drove away. As soon as I drove away I realized the bag was kind of heavy and I checked and it had a receipt that said that is was a chicken wrap and fries. I drove back around and into the drive thru again. I told them they gave me the wrong order and the person laughed and said “we mixed it up with the person in front of you”. So I sat in the drive thru again for about 15 minutes this time to wait for my new order. So over a half hour in a fast food drive thru for two burgers… I guess all I’m saying is if you do decide to go to this location… go inside and order. I was super unimpressed with how long it took, the fact that they handed me the wrong order, how long it took to get the right order afterwards, and the lack of apology. I’m not trying to be a Karen but here I am because that’s what this...
