Lemon Grass Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Guelph

My husband and I would HIGHLY recommend Lemongrass Thai Cusine, it's our favourite Thai food place we have ever had!!!! The food is absolutely delicious!!! The chicken pad Thai, spring rolls, yellow curry, and banana fritters are all the best things ever!! The food is such high quality and made so beautifully. Casey who works there is the nicest person, we love to see her:):) The service is wonderful!:) Casey always knows it's us when we're calling and knows what we love to eat and how we like it, and always makes it so special. We used to live in Guelph where Lemongrass is located, but moved a few years ago to Cambridge and we still make the trip out to Lemongrass whenever we want Thai food, nothing else is comparable. Wanted to try a different Thai place, so we wanted to order takeout from Lemon Grass. Not only do they not provide prices on their website, but the person who took the order over the phone didn't even want to tell us our total cost until we pressed about it. It was way more than we ever expected to spend (2 noodle entrees and 2 drinks was $65 total), but we wanted to give them a chance.

No wonder they hide their prices. Ordering from here was a mistake. The food was bland, the vegetables tasted incredibly watery (perhaps previously frozen, or just low quality), the takeout containers they use were very cheap and small, so the amount of food you get is very small, and the drinks which were also overpriced, were in tiny cups.

Ordered takeaway of Green Curry, Cashew Chicken and Thai Spring Rolls. My wife really enjoyed her curry and found it among the best Thai she's had in Canada. The Cashew Chicken was "okay" and had lots (and I mean lots) of carrots, broccoli and a it of pineapple. If you are used to (or enjoy) authentic Thai seasoning and flavours, you will need to tell them to spice it accordingly. I didn't and as a result found it a bit bland for my taste. I did ask for additional hot sauce on the side, expecting them to include homemade hot sauce. It wasn't homemade, but I believe Sriracha. The Spring rolls were excellent.
