Stampede Ranch — Restaurant in Guelph

The rating is mostly based on our experience in regards to our service. The food itself was great for the price and arrived promptly after we ordered. Our server, however, was absolutely terrible. I usually like to give people the benefit of the doubt; perhaps she was new or maybe just a bit air-headed, but still altered our service greatly this evening. We arrived when the restaurant wasn't busy. We got drinks promptly, but then didn't see our server for another 15 minutes, which was not beneficial as we had questions about the menu. When our server finally managed to come along, we asked her about one of the specials and it took her a while to come up with an explanation for it. I chose the fish and chips, while my partner ordered a steak. When we thought everything was settled, she came back because she forgot to ask how my partner would like his steak, then continued to ask how I would like my fish cooked? I am no fish expert, but every fish and chip meal i've ever had came fully cooked. It was a bit bazaar. Like I mentioned previously, the meal itself was fine in relation to the price, but we hardly saw our server again; in fact, we saw her walk by while she got another server to continue with us (at this point she probably had another table, but was not over-seated), and the random server gave us the bill. I probably won't go there again as the service...

The ranch is my go to place! I tend to go more so on Fridays because that's the day to go if you want to line dance or learn to. I always look forward to going at the end of the week to have some fun and get together with friends.

The staff have always been great! I can count on security to handle a problem to ensure everyone can still have a good time. Ive always got my drinks in a timely manner and they are reasonably priced. The food is also very good! Ive had the quesadilla, chicken tenders, mac and cheese fritters, tater tots, chicken Ceasar wrap, onion rings, and fries. Would definitely recommend all of them!

As for the djs and live music, I can count on Dj Stormin Norman and Dj Loud Mouse to play the best country music and they will actually play what you request. I've been to bars where they say they will and then don't. Just shows that they care. They're very friendly and great at their job! The bands always play great songs too! They both know how to get people on the dance floor and having a great time!

I would definitely recommend the Ranch to anyone. There is lots of parking and they have a great atmosphere. $2 Bull rides for some extra...

The Stampede Ranch is hands down my go-to spot for country music and line dancing in Guelph. I’ve honestly never had a bad experience here and every night is a total blast!

If you’re planning on line dancing, I recommend going on a Friday night. The floor gets packed really quickly on Saturdays, so Friday gives you more room to move (at least at the start of the night). Plus, DJ Stormin Norman and DJ Loud Mouse are the absolute sweetest and always play my requests and keep the energy high.

When I show up early, I usually grab the chicken tenders, and the fries are so good. I don’t drink, but my friends always say the drinks are reasonably priced. The staff are also great about making sure everyone is served and having a good time.
