Certainly one of the places in Guelph to check if you are in need of certain staples. The entire back wall of the store is dedicated to meats and fish and meat cutting is available on site. (It is not uncommon to hear the blade going as it works through flesh and bone.) There are extensive refrigerated and frozen food sections on both sides of the store, leaving the middle and front of the store divided into aisles. Seafood, meats, sweet treats, durian and other interesting items can be found along the side walls in both frozen and unfrozen forms. And in the heavily stocked shelves that form the aisles, various items like rice noodles, (of every imaginable width,) canned goods, spices, housewares (pots and pans + more) and health and beauty items require shoppers to be diligent and focused as items are sometimes past their 'Best Before Date' and are confusingly organized. Some items, despite similarity, can be found in more than one location and because of this, requests can stump the staff, and result in staff hunting for an item along with you. In addition to all of this, the store also has some produce and ready made snacks. The store has only one main entrance located close to the cash, which creates a bottleneck during peak busy times for both the people attempting entry and those waiting to cash out. This store is not easily navigable. Located a short walk from a public transit bus stop, there is also free parking available to people willing to take on this specialty butcher shop/grocery store. We have only ever been comfortable purchasing nori wraps from this merchant as we don't consume meat, are avoiding processed foods like crackers and chips and were weary of the produce. As the shelves are so heavily laden with goods, it is a good idea to allow yourself time to find what you need. We have also found that we have to ask for assistance. We have never been in the store and had staff (or anyone)...
Read moreI was looking for Soy milk to buy for my kids and have went to Walmart and Zehrs which they only had the juice boxes and flavors i did not want. I bought thw Soy milk here and it looked fine maybe because it was cold and once i got home my daughter went to go pour it so she could drink it, clumps just started coming out. I did not want to write a review because i have bought items for say food here which have smelt weird after opening them from packaging but this was disgusting and they really need to put expiry dates in there food. Someone could have gotten sick and if my daughter did not show me that the soy milk was clumps in her cup she would have drank it. 1 star for me and will never go back until they inspect there own foods or ensure everything has an...
