Summary: 15+ minutes for a single item with 1 car in the drive thru and a table of 2 waiting in the restaurant. 😕 In my teens I (very briefly) worked for a fast food restaurant. The location where I was hired to work was under construction and the crew that I was hired with were assigned shifts at a different location for over 2weeks before the new restaurant's opening. On opening day we were expected to, and managed to pull together for a successful opening. My life experience has greatly influenced my impression of the new Taco Bell location on Woodlawn. Opened in late December of 2019, we visited on Saturday, January 11. That day the newly opened restaurant was clean, sparsely populated and staffed by 4 or 5 people. My partner attempted to place an order in the drive thru for over 8 min (behind a single vehicle). We were under a time crunch so we decided to go in to place the order. In the 10+ minutes we were waiting for 1 item to be made, the driver from the vehicle in the drive thru had to park and come in to pick up an item; a meal had been completed for a table of 2 waiting patrons; and then, with all of the staff members huddled together (most of them standing around) instead of positioned at their respective stations, our singular item was completed. My partner did enjoy his singular item, but for a store that is arriving at it's 2week mark I have greater...
Read moreTHIEVES! I ordered meals for myself and my husband. We ate in the car since we had our dog with us. My 2 soft beef tacos were basically a wrap with lettuce so I went back in to buy something more. Two women and a man were working. I asked the man what was on the beef melt and he said cheese. I watched him make it with 2 scoops of cheese and cheese sauce. I cannot eat cheese sauce so I asked him to stop and for a refund. He refused saying he had partially made it and blamed me for not telling him I didn’t want cheese sauce. I told him I hadn’t come in intending to complain about the first meal and just get something to go with it. He reiterated 2 or 3 times that he would not refund me as it was made. I left and came back in with my husband to get a copy of the receipt. My husband asked for a refund and was told no, the man lost $3 when he threw out the burrito. We waited to get the receipt and then my husband said you know you didn’t loose $3 throwing this out because we paid for it, we are out the money. The man then offered to remake the burrito for my husband. This is the most mind blowing, degrading, service ever. If it was fine to remake why was that not offered to me? I did not take it as by this point would not be eating anything prepared by them. Also, thank you for the link to the survey, your head office will...
Read moreUpdate 2023. Tried for a steak supreme burrito. Got a all bean burrito with MAYBE one teaspoon of meat in it. $10 nearly and no meat. I'm done coming here now forever. Kept trying periodically but ultimately a waste of money. Find another taco bell or go to a slightly more expensive place and actually get what you pay for. This place is ALWAYS a let down.
Used to go here once in a blue moon for a beef burrito. They used to be great. Decided to live life dangerously today and ordered two. Both were pretty much just all rice. Disappointed. Must be the owner trying to save money on meat or something. Oh well. Guess I won't be ordering here now. 7 bucks for two tortillas with bad tasting rice. Too bad really cause I really used to enjoy that as a treat once and a while.
Edit ... Came back after a hiatus to see how things are, and if this location is competing with similar food to it's other taco bell competition.
Got another "beef" burrito, first bite was all tortilla second was all rice. Unfortunately not only has the amount of meat not increased but it is literally zero now. They aren't even compensating with extra rice anymore. Had to reduce my score to 1 star. The owners are dictating their own recipe here. Don't expect much. There are better offerings in the...
