Went through drive-thru on my way through town after a business meeting. Got a bacon english muffin & I asked for a strawberry filled donut. I pull over in Ariss to scarf back the food. I take a bite of the sandwich and it tastes rotten. Open up the sandwich & the yolk is 100% all grey. Part of the egg white around the yolk is grey. Im not happy but I figure what can I do. I don't live in the area & I'm too far out to turn around. Oh well I have my donut right? Wrong. I asked for a strawberry filled donut. I got some kind of plain donut with what I assume is strawberry buttercream icing. A little more irritated. Take a bite, donut is a weird texture & the icing is like a thick toothpaste consistency that is sticking to the bag. I'm thinking I need to call the manager. I might not get my money back but she/he needs to know that quality control is lacking to the point where it could make someone sick. I called. I explain I'm not from the area. I get no apology. I get an unemotional ok I will give you a $5 card. Pick it up the next time you come through the drive-thru. No. No. I don't think so. 1st...did I mention I am NOT from the area. 2nd...why would I go out of my way for $5 (I'm thinking you are kind of counting on that). So here it is. I know the pandemic has been rough. I get that you might have a lot of new staff. This comes down to customer service & quality assurance. Only because you made a bare minimum attempt to comp my food & my server wasn't rude do you get 2 stars. Never...
Read moreThis place used to be good, but it's gone downhill ever since they closed down for renovations. I don't know if they lost staff, changed management, or what, but I will definitely be going to other locations going forward.
I came in for a Pinwheel which I asked to be warmed up and a London fog. I had to ask them twice to warm it up, and after the second time the pinwheel bag was warm, but the food itself was cold, especially the filling. As if they had put the bag on top just to get me to go away.
The London fog was just past halfway full, the milk having been just dumped on top so the foam was flavorless, and the rest of the tea was not the same.
I was one of two people in line, and the drive through was not busy as I saw less than 3 cars as I pulled in.
Overall very disappointed, both with the service and attitude of employees, acting as if I was being a hassle asking them to warm up my food, and I will definitely not be coming here any longer, and advising my coworkers and friends to also go to another location.
Save your time, money, and patience, go to...
Read moreTerrible Drive-through service. I went to get half dozen of old assorted fashion donuts but because I ask not to include the walnuts type, they messed up and gave me the regular assorted. I went to the restaurant and ask the manager to change it, and instead of helping me, she got cranky and started questioning all the ladies in the drive through that were taking the orders, and of course they all denied my order and were saying that they confirmed. A drive through service is required when you are in a hurry, but here if They messed up and you ask for correction you need to convince the manager, deal with the unpleasant crew and find the root cause of why they can’t take the orders because they just care of process the next customer instead of giving a good service. Well as I didn’t have time to do that, I left the donuts in the counter and left. Honestly I don’t have time to deal with this people. But left with a bad taste of mouth and waste my money of course. I will make sure neither me or my family will ever buy their donuts again. Local Guelph Bakeries are...
