I placed a delivery order that was accepted at 6:10 PM. I called at 7:00 PM to find out how the order was coming along, and I was told it was already with the delivery driver. The order had not arrived by 8:00 PM, so I called again. The waitress proceeds to give me the personal phone number of the delivery driver, and encourages me to call him directly -- apparently, I was expected to sort out the problem with my order myself. When I called the number provided, the driver assured me he would arrive in five minutes, and surely, he did -- the problem was that it was already 8:15 PM, over two hours from when I placed the order. I asked him what happened, and if the food was cold because of the delay -- he said it was busy, but he assured me everything was fine. No apologies were offered as the driver went on his merry way.
When I opened the package, the order was in fact cold throughout, save for the lukewarm styrofoam container of noodles in the bottom of the bag, which had been crushed open by the heavy plastic containers stacked on top of it. The food was passable, to be generous, but a far cry from the excellent experiences I remember having with Cheelin when they regularly sold in the Brewery Market on Saturday mornings.
So, to review, my order took 2 hours to be delivered, and I was given the delivery driver's personal phone number to resolve my delivery issues, instead of the restaurant taking ownership of the situation, and contacting the driver on their own. Not recommended, ever again.
I did not notice before I ordered, but my experiences tonight were similar to those of other patrons who have posted reviews further down this list.

Read moreMy daughter & I recently stopped into Cheelin Korean BBQ for the AYCE meal. We were there at 3pm as they opened, while on a trip to the city to go to IKEA and Cabelas. The staff were super friendly and attentive; coming to take our next order for items as soon as we emptied a plate. We avoided a lot of the sides and rice and filled our bellies on meat, seafood, kimchi, grilled onions and garlic and lettuce for wraps. It was a lot of fun cooking at our table, and trying a variety of meats and dishes. Both my daughter and I enjoyed the black pepper beef, sliced brisket and spicy pork belly the most. I also enjoyed the steamed fresh clams. We both liked the kimchi, and the corn & cheese cooked on the grill. The Korean BBQ sauce and peanut dipping sauce were tasty, but we both felt that they could offer a few more sauces for dipping, especially something with some heat. All in all a great meal, and a great experience. I would definitely recommend Cheelin Korean BBQ's AYCE menu. It is almost worth the visit just to get the incredible ice cream dessert bars when paying the bill. I had the banana and my daughter had the mango. We both agreed they were the best ice cream bars either of us have ever had. Awesome surprise treat to cap off a delicious meat heavy meal....
Read moreIf you love the sizzle of meat on a hot grill or having those nice char lines on your grilled meat, then DON’T come here. The grill is medium heat at best and you aren’t allowed to touch the temperature of the grill (unless you want to pay a fine of $200) so it takes a VERY LONG TIME to get your meat cooked. I asked if they could turn it up and the said they can’t have the room get smokey— for a bbq place that seems like poor planning, they need better ventilation. However, their sides, mini bibimbap, spicy rice cakes, corn and cheese, sweet soy beef short ribs, spicy pork belly are delicious. The pumpkin or squash soup is too sweet, the other beef dishes are not great and the seaweed rice is rice with mayo and seaweed 😒They will probably confuse items in your order and forget to bring you things BUT the staff are very friendly. Plus you get a Melona bar at the end. The exterior of the place is sketchy but the inside is decent. I’m just going to say, this place isn’t for me— I’d pay for a la cart for better quality meat, hotter grills, and better...
